I'll hold off for more pics because it kinda looks like they screwed the pooch with the bikini bottom. It doesn't match the rest of her outfit all that well, at least from what I could see in that collage.
Yah, I'm fairly sick of FPS games. When it's all said and nothing new has really been done since Doom. Yeah, there are different guns, physics, and Crysis was pretty they're ALWAYS the same: You against an innumerable horde with only your trusty BFG,...
I'm with Panther; just no interest here. My 'reasoning' is that the joints (however well articulated they may be) just don't look right and take away that special *something* which non-jointed figures possess.
My home office is too small to keep all my figures out so I definitely keep the boxes. I can't imagine tossing the boxes then haphazardly tossing my collection into an empty paper box like they were nothing more than legos.
I'd like the pose more if there was a reason for it. e.g.: If she were cleaning something up or there was a mouse / cat she was playing with. As it stands (or kneels, in this case) it's little more than fan service. I realize that a lot of manufactur...
Ikea to the rescue! Looks like that book on the white bottom shelf on the right hasn't moved in 2 years. =D I really like what you did with the figure lighting; so much so that I may steal the idea. ^_^
wow.. she IS nicer than I imagined. Kinda having the opposite of "buyer's remorse, now." When I miss a figure, I usually start trolling the auction sites daily to see if a figure is put up for 'buy it now' type of thing. I REALLY despise the bidding...
I can understand the reason none of them have figures at home. I'd feel the same way if my major connection to a figure wasn't the manga but the 12+ hours a day it took me to create it.
Chu Chu has at least somewhat more realistic body proportions (hips, legs, etc.) but I prefer Ari's eyes which don't look like they've been installed by a Dr. in Beverly Hills.
yah, the hair looks like something you'd find on a cheap plastic doll a kid would get at the carnival for NOT winning a prize. maybe it's made that way so the helmet can slide on easier?
My wife would shake her head in resignation and my daughter would probably think that I'm a lecherous old man. So... yeah, I don't really see myself getting it even if I 'justified' it as a collectible.
I bought my wife an imported Star Wars pachinko machine for x-mas last year. I'm pretty impressed because the last one I really played with had a few blinky lights and an old spring loaded launcher. I really wished that I understood Japanese after h...
Precisely. I've seen figures with a great face and bad sculpt or vice versa and that's killed it for me. Having said that, I will still purchase the figure if the quality / craftsmanship is high, even if I don't know the character or series. I'd say...
Robotech (Macross, Southern Cross, Mospeada) is what got me into anime HARDCORE. I'd literally rush home to watch it every afternoon, regardless if it were summer break or not. I guess you could call it my 'kiddie soap opera". What I vividly recall...
Simoun got me more than any other anime so far. Specifically Mamina's leaving and went and ending. Don't get me wrong, Air, Kannon and Clannad all had extremely touching moments, especially poor Fuko but I really connected with Simoun more than any o...
Good god, I completely forgot about Minmay. I prefer who he ended up with (Lisa in the US version called Robotech) b/c she wasn't a whiny pita but Minmay was probably my first.
Ignis the White is probably my fav figure but she leans backwards at her torso because the lower half of the dress causes the area where her naval is located not to fit correctly onto her legs. >_< My worst leaner was the Ikki Tousen figure, Sonsaku....
You can't help but think that the 'jungle' design is strictly for shock value and Native hopes to use it to make a name for itself in the industry. It'll be interesting to see how this play out and what, if any effect on the main stream figure indust...
I only had 2 or 3 figures good figures before I stumbled upon Danny's site and heisei democracy. I can honestly say that, thanks to the two of them, I've spent a L O T of money. But while both Danny and Shingo have helped make it easier for my payc...
