Wow, I remember seeing a lot of those places... Especially the long line sticking out of that buffet. I really want to spend a little more time in Osaka, well lets be honest more time in Japan.
When I first read about this all I thought was: "This has to be one of the best uses for the Kinect, so far." I would love to give it a try... At least a new 3D TV plus GITS on 3D blu-ray may be a cheaper than flying to Tokyo. :(
I tried Human Japanese, but didn't go far with it. What I used was, Japanese Phrases and Lessons, which works for me... I think its how you use the apps; because I really like Japanese Phrases and Lessons.
I found that learning hiragana and now katakana is pretty simple. I'd say my hirigana comprehension is about 90%. It only took about ten minutes a day for a freeways to get there. I got am app for my iPod which really did the trick.
Man, I wish I could go there with all those people around. The two times I visited the shrine, it was summer time and the place was sort of desolate. I really do want to be in Tokyo for the New Years, one of these years.
It was cool, the place I stayed at in Tokyo, The Oak Hotel, had bikes you could rent for free; so I spent a lot of my last full day in Tokyo biking around.

She is cute. I like how the Dad's pop stuck out right away.... I was unaware Japan had Dad's. Granted, I've only seen it sparingly and not in a can. o.O
