i don't think you can really call this a successor to the LX3, more like a competitor with the olympus ep-1. besides, the price point is way too high to be considered mid-range... even so, man red suits this camera very well. arghh *drools

LX3 owner here, got it after holding back for a year since you posted that lumix article. awesome camera ^^ gotta admit, you go look a tad weird without that neck brace. kinda reminds me how we always take things for granted until they are gone.
i would prefer it if the books offers full-blown photo of their rooms. i would really big that. but then again, that would require a high end camera our part as well...
