I have both, but have got used to contacts. I stick to wearing my glasses at night when I get home. Sometimes, like if I am running late in the morning, I will use my glasses. The main reason I got contacts was for the summer...
Like any city, it has it's good and bad. I remember I made a point of looking to the right for oncoming traffic when crossing the street...was really hard to get used to.
i too have used the glasses cleaner outside glasses shops when i visited japan, very surprised the first time i saw them.
as for me, contacts or glasses...whatever i feel like.
