I find this the most intimidating thing in Japan. As I cant read kanji and cant see inside I dont know what sort of restaurant it is so miss out on good places like this. I must make a point of being less nervous next visit.
In my four trips to Japan I never realised you can see out of the front of the Yamanote line trains. Ive seen this outside Tokyo. Oh well another thing I must do next visit.
I knew it was a Subaru because they have one at the Edo-Tokyo museum & I took some photos. Did a quick search and its a Subaru 360. Ita also very very cool. There is a white one in one of the earlier photos.

Danny. In answer to the "Any of you reconsidering future plans to come to Japan?" question. The answer is yes. I am MORE likely to be visiting Japan soon. I can see that there will probably need to be a drive to get tourists to return.
