Hi, I'm Michael Studte from Australia. Working on keeping the computers of an engineering company running so we can all earn some money. :) Have been an anime fan for 30+ years, currently I like something non-japanese most of all, My Little Pony: Fri...

They have currently suspended taking more orders due to the problems encountered by some people (like myself) who tried to order more than 2 figures. They are now aware of the problem and working on fixing it.
I have the same problem, but if you order separate, they charge you an extra 2000yen for separate shipping, so I don't really want to place two orders.
Shipping figures by SAL? I have seen too much damage to SAL-shipped boxes to use that as a shipping method for figures or anything else breakable. EMS also provides much better insurance.
Ahhhhh, maybe that is the problem... I also tried to order three (one for me and one for my son, and a spare in case there is ever any damage to one)... We tried to use both my Mastercard and my son's Visa card, and we frequently buy from overseas wi...
Preordered FFXIII. Been a fan ever since FFX. A dedicated Yuna fan, although Lightning is really going to fight hard for the top spot. I like tough girls like that.
Wagamama is a horrible abomination against japanese food. I have been to one of the Perth ones a couple of times, but with them using totally non-standard ingredients, it's nothing like the original food, and heavily overpriced.
I still prefer any d...
The problem in past years has been that they chose girls who were TOO japanese, and once it got to the international rounds, they immediately fell out of the running. I was at the 2004 finals in Tokyo, and while they chose the most Nadeshiko-style ja...
Owakudani and Kowakidani (next valley across) are great places to visit on a one or two-day trip. I used to go there every fortnight when I lived in Tokyo. The Yunessun spa in Kowakidani is absolutely wonderful for soaking away the stress of IT work....
Love gyouza desperately.
When I lived in Suginami-ku, there was a gyouza van that would rarely ply the streets late at night selling a variety of gyouza, including an amazing garlic gyouza. Sadly he only ever appeared once a month or less... I remem...
Yes, and this would explain a bit. So it's all my parent's fault. ^_^
Yes, I get very sleepy during the day. Quad espresso usually helps keep me awake, although office meetings are still a big challenge to stay awake throughout.
When I lived in Japan, I would get two fresh tuna sushi rolls from the AM/PM below our office. The ones where you unroll the dry seaweed onto the roll of rice and fish by pulling out the plastic separating sheet. I miss gorgeous convenience and fresh...
Sadly not enough. Every man and woman is listening to their MP3 players or iPods, most of them using headphones that don't direct the sound just into the listener's ear, so that their "music" is shared with the nearest dozen other passengers.
When i...
Went to the shrine in February just after a smaller festival (didn't know about it), and there were a large number of Lucky Star and Haruhi prayer plaques posted there, as well as a car totally plastered with Lucky Star itasha in the car park.
Sadly...
Tachibana's in Shinjuku West. I even had a frequent shopper card. ^_^;;;
I have absolutely no qualms about going into such a shop, unlike here in Australia, where they make it seem like the worst crime possible, just through the many corners you hav...
I think it's universal. In Japan, I usually try to go to a public toilet at a train station (the JR ones are pretty good nowadays) or at a MacD's when I have to. They're usually the best.
When I came down with gastro in February (while out and about...
The Tenga ones are disposable single-use ones, but as a result, they manage to sell them at a pretty reasonable price, Amazon Japan sells them for just under 1000yen. I'll admit to having bought a couple of models out of curiosity, and they're just a...
I became bilingual at age 14 when we moved from Germany to Australia. In our family, we now speak a mix of English and German (lazy, if a word is shorter in one language, we use it). Of course, this confuses our german relatives to no end.
Became fu...
I have recently had to curtail my reading, as my workplace introduced a new firewall system, and DannyChoo.com is listed in its blacklist... v_v
So I can only browse after work, and there I mostly limit myself to the general Japan posts (I've lived...
