1/8 Saber Lily Pre-orderHey,
I run an online store in NS, Canada - I think we may be slightly cheaper. Flat rate shipping and all prices include tax. No worries if you've ordered elsewhere though - it's going to be an impressive release. :)
British Ambassador to JapanThat was a cool post Danny :) To answer your question. Well I left the UK to live permanently in Canada a few years ago now (being married to a Canadian was quite the incentive - long distance marriages...not recommended) and I do try and get back...
British Embassy in TokyoFormer Govt. employee seeks short/long term position at GoodSmile - willing to work for figures ;) More seriously, congratulations! It must be some kind of cultural awareness meeting - two great nations coming together with a common interest - Mr....
Nuke Those TrollsSeems like a good idea, I have not really noticed much trolling going on around here to be honest. Perhaps we are all somewhat jaded when it comes to trolls though..
Figure ManufacturersAlter are probably my favourite company in terms of quality. I sometimes wish the Alter releases were slightly bigger though. Max Factory come a very close second. Those two are easily the best I would say. Good Smile have a great reputation and...
Nendoroid Saber LionAdorable! Possibly the cutest nendoroid release so far. For the faces, I usually stick to my favourite and leave it that way. I usually like one face far more than the others so it does kind of make sense. ;)
Kotobukiya RiannonVery nice figure, I like the detailing on the outfit. Interesting base - it looks very similiar to the bases that Yujin use for some of their larger gashapon releases. Suitable for gashapon but not what I'd expect Kotobukiya to be using.
Shigure AsaI really like that figure, I'm noticing that more and more of the releases that appeal to me are coming from Alter. A good thing for Alter...a bad thing for my bank account!
Another BloodA photo of the box is a good thing - nice to see what you should expect to receive in the mail. Superb pictures of the figure - I actually pre ordered that one as a birthday present for my wife so I'm glad to see it looks just as good as the promo s...
Broken FiguresI once stood on one of my HCM-PRO zakus and was extremely surprised when everything just popped back into place - no broken bits at all! Now that's good engineering. ;) Sad to say Revoltechs are not quite so sturdy...For PVC figurines I'd say go wi...
Chu Chu AstramCaption would be: Oh how the times have changed!
Cast on for me - some figures can look a little too...blatant...to me with the cast off option. Subtle is not a bad thing! :P
Saber FigureSaber is a cool character for sure. I don't normally like the bathing suit / underwear versions of characters I like though. Much prefer cool uniforms or complex multi layered outfits - HOWEVER those pictures do make a strong case for changing my o...
Tokyo Toy Show 2008I'll be attending Otakuthon in Montreal, will be going as a Dealer though so probably wont get to see too much of it though. Like others have said, I sometimes wish there was not quite so much trend following in North America, Naruto and Bleach are...
A Week in LondonWell I was born and lived in the UK (York not London) until I was 25 and then moved to Canada. I now live in Halifax Nova Scotia with my Canadian wife and absolutely prefer it to the UK. Not as big a transition as yours Danny but I'm impressed by a...
Vader Wannabe StormtrooperI use Firefox on my PC and Safari on my Mac - I tried to use FF on the Mac but it just did not feel quite as stable as the PC version.
Figure Pre OrdersI think the Ringo figure looks superb, really nice job by Yamato. Not sure if it would fit in with the rest of my collection though. ;) My favourite Air Gear figure is the Creators' Labo Simca one.
