Japanese DollsI like the pic 24-25 doll types best.
I already own some Action dolls which, as the name indicates, are essentially dolls but with plastic hair instead of wigs. Their pricing is closer to dolls than figures too.
Max FactoryI have bought many secondhand figures in the past. Most have been in mint (figure only) condition. I see no problem with it, especially when the figure is hard to com by in the first place.
Trend DaySpoke at a conference last year, was anxious all throughout the other speakers presentations. It went rather well though and I felt great afterwards.

Japanese SnacksI like chocolate Pocky better than the strawberry kind (that stuff is ok in small batches). The best kind IMO is the chocolate and coconut Pocky. :)
Pocky aside, I love those tako and Kimchi/shrimp crackers.
Anime HatersThere are many things I don't like. I don't go around proclaiming that everyone interested in those thing are stupid though.

Japanese SouvenirsI'd just get traditional/practical stuff for gifts. Most of the "Otaku stuff" they would actually want would be expensive and/or difficult to transport.
Manga Spoils AnimeI kind of get tired of people always complaining about manga -> anime, game -> manga, etc adaptations. ~_~ (not here but in general)
Why are you torturing yourself if it's that bad? If you are that bored, go and read some more manga or play another...
Gurren Lagann YokoA lot of Kotobukiya's earlier PVC figures began life as kits. If demand for a PVC version becomes high enough it will most likely be made. ;)
AnimageI used to get Newtype, haven't bought one in a while though. A local store has the latest issue of Hobby Japan to browse through, so no need to buy it (it's a bloody evil magazine too! ;p) ^_^

Tis' the season to be jolly after all. Unless your made of money you won't be too jolly having to fork out that much for gifts for just one person. XD
