Some thoughts - I used to be the video programme officer of AmeCon, one of the UK's biggest anime conventions, so I've got a few thoughts:
More anime could be subsidised by product placement. Obviously this wouldn't work in all cases (no-one wants t...
Would get one, so long as it's somewhere that's friendly shipping to the UK (and knows what's necessary to avoid customs charges!) - don't fancy getting a £12 customs charge like I do ordering from some places ;_;
The right image is something photoshopped by a random 2-chan poster (or someone similar) who said the change with bigger oppai and no tattoo would be more popular in the Japanese market...
The actual cover used in Japan, like everywhere else is the...
I don't think I'd pay for a tour package - it's cheaper from the UK to arrange your own flights/accomodation through stuff like expedia than to pay for some huge tour.
However, I think a tour that's bookable for time while you're in Japan is better...
Watched Freedom, and even had the pleasure of having a hand in it's UK premiere this year. ^_^
It's actually a really good anime, despite the Cup Noodle tie-ins, and it's very enjoyable. I just wish that all of it came out on HD DVD before it died :...
Gotta go with the 'find out what's different in terms of O' approach, probably with some dolphin-substitute products. Then, I think it would get old rather quickly, and probably start looking into a transformation back.
Health and Safety laws are fairly stringent over here - so we take it into account ^^;
Unlike back when I was a student and worked for the UK equivalent of Frys, Currys. We used to smash dead CRT TVs by taking them out back and throwing a fist-sized...
Danny (or anyone really), do you know if there are there going to be any puchi Nendoroids of Yoko?
I like the style of nendoroids but I think the puchi ones fit better... I'd rather buy more 'real' figures to take up desk/cabinet/any other space tha...
hehehe, I was reading all the people saying 'what screwdrivers do you need?' and thinking 'does no-one else use sledgehammers?' - glad I'm not the only one ^_^
Aren't Ikea detolf basically just made for Otaku? ^_^
It was the first thing we bought after me and my Ota-gf moved out, for our CLAMP, Haruhi and other figures ^_^
It's a nice piece of design and superb in terms of engineering, but I wouldn't buy one. I've got an MBP and a Powermac G5 (although looking to ditch it for a Mac Mini) - I don't need something that can't read optical media, no matter how svelte...

Heroes is excellent, and season 2 is starting to shape up after a fairly slow start...
Also what should be recommended is Dexter. It's a dark tale that's like a cross between CSI and American Gothic.
The main character is a blood spatter analysis c...
My mother paid £200 for a dalmation puppy - that's pretty cheap, and it's supposedly pedigree (read: probably not)
I'm more of a cat person anyway - how much do cats go for in Japan? =^_^=
I'm surprised so many people like Nanoha's itasha - I've seen lots of different itasha all featuring characters from the series, but never ones of say, Belldandy from ah! megami-sama, or similar...

"Something special about this water which is the reason why people are collecting it in bottles."
It's one of 3 pure-water springs - one of the purest sources of water in Japan.
The temple name (some-thing misu) means Pure Water iirc.
