I wish this platform had a future but sadly it does not. People have to carry around a phone. To carry an extra device that does almost nothing but gaming when they could use their phone makes no sense. I love Sony,...but this is another fail from a...
They have already started turning up on ebay and craigslist here in the states. Played with one for a while. Great toy but incredibly limited in usefulness. No flash really holds this thing back. I like it but the price tag is just to steep for the l...
I would love the ipad,...if it was actually useful,...and had better then 2005 processor technology,...and could do more than one thing at a time,...and had a real operating system,...and had even 1 USB port,...and could support flash so you could ac...
We had 75+ inches of snow in Philly this year. A new record. Record snow fall and low temps all over the world. Global warming is being debunked and this is evidence of that.
The question i would ask is how she moves in her international world. You do this as a blogger but she must do this in her day to day life and career, and prioritize as she goes. That can not be easy.
Uniforms are making a comeback here in the US. All Philadelphia public schools have them now and this trend is reaching the suburbs as well. The reason? Lowers truancy and helps cut down on the violence created by the different gangs/groups showing t...
All this explains Japan, but this practice is pretty common all over the world. Would it make sense to say that this follows logic rather than tradition?
That one min. meet&greet is called "speed dating" here in the USA and i suppose elsewhere. All i have ever seen it do is produce a lot of negative responses and few if any relationships. Maybe distance is clouding my objectivity but the more traditio...
I have always thought the Cherry Trees were so beautiful. I could sit and enjoy them for hours. I would love to try some of those "Starbucks" creations.
It seems amazing that the culture that has become so associated with photography would be so restrictive of it. In the USA photographs of people and places (as long as they are not copyrighted) is unrestricted.
This is something i love about the Japanese. They are willing to not only try, but actually dive in to something new. This would be a tough sell in the States and i think most places as well. I like it and wish them luck!
I think we might be seeing the evolution of social networking. Most things are going mobile and this looks like it was intended to do just that. i am very impressed so far. I wonder how far this will go and were it will end up.
We now have WiFi that covers the entire city of Philadelphia. At 4G speed and About 50$ a month. The option is a cafe or other establishment with a purchase. A good netstumbler program works well also.
I really hope your right but things don't look good for JAL. http://www.financialnewsusa.com/finance/archives/10901-japan-airlines-cuts-15600-jobs-files-bankruptcy
JAL has long been the standard for far east travel from the US. I will be very sorry to see them go under. Many Wealthy American corporate travelers will not fly with any one else because of the status they provided.
We have this same concept in Philly. We call them "Lunch Trucks" or more commonly referred to as a "Roach Coach" Unlike there Japanese counterparts, a healthy meal is not on the menu.
I will admit that Hollywood has made some bad movies but you need to get some facts straight. The first two movies on your rant were made in Japan. FF TSW was made in Japan and the US by HiroNobu SakaGuchi. Street fighter was never supposed to to win...
I know what you mean. I have seen a lot of "J" movies i like but i think that they are a little more difficult to follow for the average international viewer than American movies are. Japan is a homogeneous society and as such approaches things from...
I was amazed as well until i remembered that Japan is on track for a population loss of 2/3rds by 2050. That's only 40 years away, nearly the same amount of time as in that first video! I can only wonder what Japan will look like then.
