Yeah, I'm using a deputy auction service. It's not import taxes or anything, they're arbitrary fees that this one charges for things. They just add up over 2-3 transactions, not complaining, just stating surprise really. Actually I got them in 3-4 days, so that made up for any monetary "surprise" I got. ( コメントを見る » )

I've said it since the first time I was in Japan in the mid 90's and saw mel gibson on a Subaru billboard in a station (before I knew how naziriffic and insane he was): they must give these american celebs truckloads of cash. I cannot even imagine that half of the celebrities that do Japanese commercials have any interest in Japan whatsoever. I wouldn't say "worst", but it tried to overutilize the backdrop of Japan and "two souls finding their way to each other while embracing a strange and unique culture" way too much. It really tried to shoehorn that last part into the film too much, and it ended up coming off as like a state of borderline depression/xenophobia or something. Honestly I'm just the opposite, I end up finding the food kinda gross at times. I recently got these 'Sweet Chili' sticks from Meiji and I notice that a lot of Japanese snacks have ebi in the ingredients list (shrimp) which adds a fishy flavor to it. And these were supposed to be "sweet chili corn snack" *sic* according to the package. Fish wasn't part of the bargain! ^^; I love Japanese smoke cheese a lot, too. You should add なかだし and たまけり to the list while you're at it. Hahaha. Man, Japanese is so pure sometimes, for as euphemistic as other languages (English, for one) can be about things, Japanese is actually straightforward about terms like nakadashi and tamakeri. ( コメントを見る » )

Oh MacGyver, what have you become? Nah I'm just kidding, they both suck. Sci-fi in general has never been my bag. If it's fantastical sci-fi like time travel or sliding or something I can handle it, but whenever they take some rubber headed supposed space aliens or some gibberish trying to resemble real science it makes me embarrassed to be watching/reading it.
