If it's an ero content article, I don't read it/comment on it. The more ero content that shows up on the front page, the less often I browse the site--especially at work! I know I'm in the minority, but that's the way it is. One thing to think about, though... There have been many times I wanted to give an article link to a friend or link to an article on another website, but I can't because of the risque nature of the navigation content/ads/part of the article/whatever. I'm rather sure that what y... ( コメントを見る » )

I have to agree with you on the MacBook Air. Light enough to make all the sacrifices it requires... EXCEPT FOR THE FREAKING FIREWIRE. ( コメントを見る » )

Those who spot air pressure as the cause are correct. From the Railway Preservation News forum: "To get non-pressurized tank car to implode, all you need to do is hook up a hose to a bottom unloading valve and open the valve while not opening the relief valve on the dome. Gravity will cause the liquid to flow out with no air flowing in to replace it. The tank will crumple long before it empties. " ( コメントを見る » )

I love Nodame Cantabile, but I really only care for the manga. The anime and live action don't appeal to me at all, even with the benefit of hearing the music. I highly recommend the manga! ( コメントを見る » )

A car checkup is 70,000 yen? Not a typo, honest-to-Mirai-chan 7万円?! That is RIDICULOUS. Emissions tests here in the US will run about $30, and general safety tests ran even less. I can't imagine that they do anything that justifies the charge. I guess it giv... ( コメントを見る » )

Is that raw, unpasteurized honey you're taking, Danny? I'm not sure if the 純粋 indicates that or not, and can't make out much beneath it to read, myself. I've just recently been gulping down a couple of tablespoons of local raw honey in the morning a... ( コメントを見る » )

No yaki niku here, but lots of cow tongue if you go to the right Mexican restaurants. Delicious on a corn tortilla with lime juice. ( コメントを見る » )

She is absolutely adorable, it's true. I hope she's as nice off-camera as she is on. As cute as her on-camera voice is, I really like her more natural voice, when she lets it slip. ( コメントを見る » )

We have inheritance tax in the US, as well. I personally think it's vile. How many times must the same income be taxed? ( コメントを見る » )

Great stuff. I'm excited for you guys. I'm working on building my own business for the same personal reasons. Since I'm so early in the process, though, it's exciting to see you find such success. One day I'd be curious to read your personal thoughts on networking/making contacts. ( コメントを見る » )

In the US there are several programs to give retired cell phones to women's shelters (since the phones can be used for emergency numbers, whether or not they have an active account), or to send phones to soldiers overseas to be used to call family. Phones being kept due to the non-portability of data of the data on them is the arrogance of the phone manufacturers coming back to bite them. Despite all the fancy features on Japanese phones, I still can't shake the feeling that the manufacturers have no respect for the consumer due... ( コメントを見る » )

I really don't care much about Skype on the PSP. For domestic calls, I have my cell phone. On the other hand, if I were making international calls more frequently, I would definitely see the utility. I'd rather have a VOIP application on a wifi-enabled mobile phone, though. T-Mobile here in the US offers that in a limited fashion, and there are hacks out there for a few other phones... I prefer Gizmo to Skype, though, since it's open... http://www.gizmoproject.com/ I also find MSN to be really crummy, service-wise ... ( コメントを見る » )

This is FALSE. Unless you are crossing the border, entering a federal building, boarding a federally-controlled commercial plane, or entering a nuclear power plant, there is NO federal law in the US requiring one to carry some form of identification. Beyond that, it is a state issue. The US Supreme Court has held that a state is allowed to require an individual to identify themselves to law enforcement if asked, but that is different from being required to present identification. People have been arrested for refusing to provide a form ... ( コメントを見る » )

This registration is really amazing to me, but I can believe it. Here in the US, no state that I know of requires one to carry identification unless performing an activity that requires it (driving, carrying a concealed weapon). One must not refuse to identify oneself to the police, but it isn't required to carry ID at all times. This is a HUGE issue of liberty to many people. ( コメントを見る » )

Two gigs for day to day stuff on my main machines (Intel iMac, AMD64, MacBook Pro), but I really feel the constraints when I run my VMs or run Adobe CS products. I really need four gigs at those times, but usually two gigs gets me by. 512 megabytes in my workstation at home, but all I use it for is web surfing and watching standard definition video. Even then I occasionally pine for more. My Linux webserver usually gets by fine with 256 megabytes. My first server only had 24 megs, and for long after I got by on 32 megs! Simpler ti... I saw this earlier... and am enamoured with it. I've had the "figure-wants" badly for some figures in the past, but this one takes it to new heights. I have rules, though, that I don't buy figures from anime/games I'm not familiar with, and I won't be playing an eroge... But I may break that rule for this. DO WANT. No can buy if it's a figure that shows off panties, though. Haven't seen pics that make clear whether those are showing or covered by billowing underskirts ( コメントを見る » )

I'm at around 20%: More definition than the picture, but less size/mass. I should be better, but I've been sick and lazy. Danny, if you want to whip yourself into shape, it's just like any of the other awesome things you've accomplished: All motivation and dedication. Fortunately, UNLIKE many of those things, it honestly doesn't take much time out of your day to get into decent shape if you do it the right way. It's more about the commitment than the time spent. If you want any advice, let me know. ... ( コメントを見る » )

At this point, I don't care about plasma or LCD, but I *do* care about the actual screen resolution. Even at relatively high prices, I'll see TVs with actual screen resolutions other than 1280x720 or 1920x1080. 1366x768 is a common resolution I see, which looks fine for upscaled 480p, but ensures that all real HD content is scaled poorly. I tend to see more plasmas like this than LCDs, likely due to manufacturing cost. Of course, with TV broadcasts and overscan, sometimes it's going to be crappy anyway, but Blu-Ray an... ( コメントを見る » )

Back home in the US, I used to go into stores where food, guns, and fishing bait were sold in the same place. Students used to carry guns to school and leave them in their vehicles--or might even take them IN school if they were part of a rifle team! Now it's much harder to get a gun, and the areas where one is allowed to have them are much more limited. Did the violence rate go down? No, it went UP. Guns aren't the problem. I can easily improvise a weapon that's just as--or more--dangerous. Heck, I could just reac... ( コメントを見る » )

I wouldn't say it's so much a matter of "Who invented the skirt?" but "Who decided that men should wear pants and women shouldn't?" As most have said, girls tend to fold/hitch their skirts up, but some school skirts are getting shorter of their own accord. It's one thing when the girls are deciding to do it (not that I award points for lasciviousness--major fail in my book), but I imagine some men are making these decisions. What do the people around them say/think, I wonder? ( コメントを見る » )
