I can't understand why anyone wouldn't used deodorant. Do they somehow think their "natural" smell increases their pheromone count? I always use deodorant, and I prefer the Gillette gel type which does wonders. I don't like the crazy locker-room spray-on ones though, they remind me of disgusting high school change rooms. Danny, I feel for you, and from your post and stuff I heard about before, it seems that the Japanese medical system isn't all that "user friendly". Most country's doctors and nurses are more forthcoming in terms of information and recommendations, but the Japanese system seems to be much more "hands off". ( コメントを見る » )

Protests IMO are pointless: the only thing they are good for is to bring attention to an issue. Since whale hunting is already on the government's agenda, this protest was just there for shock value, and I despise actions which try to use shock to galvanise opinions. That said, I don't think the Japanese are entitled to go out into international waters to hunt for whales. The justification is that they are preserving the small industry which lives off whale hunting: if so, they should do so in their own coastal waters. Whale as a meat... ( コメントを見る » )
