Nice! I had mixed feelings about the Mighty Muggs line-up because while I appreciate urban-vinyl arts, I thought perhaps licensed goods was sort of a sell-out... but then I saw the very awesome Mughty Muggs Lando Calrissian and I had to get him! While I don't have a fixed budget, I don't feel comfortable spending more than $200(CAD) on figures per month. That is, since I purchased the FREEing Haruhi this month (and paid for shipping and import duties, I'm not like to buy any more figures for this month. I should point out that I do not often purchase FREEing figures and these past few months have been highly unusual (I've been celebrating a recent salary raise). Hmm... to answer Danny's questions, yes, I've seen all the Star Wars films. They are a part of my life growing up and even today I enjoy them - my favourite film of all time being Empire Strikes Back. Yes, I would very much like to see Clone Wars at the cinema. In the past I have cosplayed as a Jedi Knight, but if I had the time and money, I think I would enjoy being a Snow Trooper (being a snow-bound Canadian and all that). But I also like the TIE Pilot all-black jumpsuits. ...but am I the only one to see that silver storm trooper ... ( コメントを見る » )

A "rave" is an all-night dance-party frequently frowned upon by mainstream society for its reputation as being unsafe events (cram so many people into a small space and its dark, very easy to hide illegal drugs, etc). What's frightening about this story is how obviously useless said certificates are. Sounds like any fool is allowed to operate said laser equipment. LOL, yes, you are indeed the last person to find this video... I reported it in my own broggu back in February when Marvel's site posted it originally. And yes, to Rokku has a point considering the clip is obviously meant to build up hype for Marvel's two upcoming (at the time) character properties in their feature film appearances this summer. I'll take #1, 4, 7, and a little bit of #8. It takes me a lot to get moving on a new kit, I don't know why that is. I will open the box and look at the sprues and then just close the box and set it aside. Often for figures (and not just kits), I will buy them because they form a set of something (i.e.: all the Patlabor Revoltech figures, Ghost in the Shell gashapon, Batman-licensed Microman) but then get really sick of my own collection. Canada's problem is that we're so tightly knit with the USA in culture and trade that it's hard to distinquish ourselves (and yes, we get movies the same time as the US release, and we share DVD "region"). It's gotten such that the government has a policy of helping support Canadian media content by offering financial support to Canadian film-makers ...the horrible side effect being that a lot of a crappy Canadian film gets made regardless of the quality of the project. :p ( コメントを見る » )

I grew up eating JiaoZi too... and was amused to learn later in life how common dumplings were around the world. I still prefer Chinese-style JiaoZi (and by extension Japanese-style gyoza) over other styles such as the baked kind that Americans have. I always assumed Ulysses 31 was an anime dubbed into English. But Thundercats was definitely American - possibly sourced to off-shore studios for the animation work, but it was most definitely western-produced. Danny, it's interesting that the Thundercats clip you found must be the UK version... I couldn't put my finger one it but I realized only after digging for an original clip that Panthro's portion of the montage is supposed to show him using his Thunderian "nunchuku" - a weapon banned in the UK during the 80s... Got to show my age to say this, but I love this Destroid design and have loved it ever since FASA stole it. @_@;;; There's something real about the utilitarian look: every thing is just sensible. The only thing non-nonsensical about this toy is the price... which, if I recall, previous 1/60 scale non-transforming Yamato stuffs were always as such... They say an artist's worst critic is themselves. I think it looks great, but yes, I agree because you brought it up yourself first: Big Sis looks good until you look at Little Sis hugging her and realize Big Sis's eyes are a little too low (and Little Sis's neck is a little too long). Pocari Sweat is available at the local Asain ethnic grocer. But I think it might be an import by way of Thailand or somewhere else because there isn't much Japanese kana but some other writing I don't recognize on the bottles. Weird. I much prefer the taste of more local sport-drinks like Gatorade. Pocari Sweat's salty-sweet taste never really grew on my and well, more traditional flavours like berry, lime, and orange just taste better to me anyway. ( コメントを見る » )

Heh, I live in the south end (near the airport) and I've also got 2 Tim Horton's within 5 minutes drive! Anyway, Krispy Kreme tried to break into Canada but just didn't seem to last. Canadians are fiercely loyal to their Tim's! I went to Krispy Kreme in Mississauga and the huge line-up was there too. But I think it was just for the novelty. People were buying 4 or 5 dozen at a time. And I liked them - they were hot and soft... but they were a little too sweet compared to the donuts we're used to here in Canada. ( コメントを見る » )
