Tenrou, see my rant above. Hokkaido having more tornadoes than the rest of Japan makes sense. Seeing they are closer to the Arctic air mass and get the warmer moist air coming up from the south. Don't be a Gore-on. All countries get tornadoes, even your little haven of Singapore. They just don't happen all the time in a lot of places. The main ingredients needed to produce a tornado is a collision boundary between a cold air mass and warm moist air mass with a strong temperature/pressure gradient between the two. The reason we have already had over 1000 tornadoes and strong flood producing storms in the US this year has nothing to do with man imagined global warming.
