Spongebob is supposed to be stupid. Hilariously stupid. It even says so in the opening theme song ("...nautical nonsense...)! Just like all cartoons, Spongebob is meant for entertainment. It may not be for everyone, but it can be fun if you let it be. Personally I think Spongebob is great, especially the later episodes. I also think it has run its course and should be kept as a happy memory. The Mermaid Man and Barnacle boy episodes were awesome though ^_^ ( View formatted comment » )
