interesting post. i work on my weak points...but there are those times where it will seem to slip out of your hands and then you catch yourself doing the thing you were trying not to do. i have a bad habit of not being social when i'm distracted but i still try...kind of, my friends haven't left me yet so i guess that's a good sign. i have to say that is an amazing statue but there are some odds and ends that would turn me away from buying it. though it is hard to say from just looking at pictures its probably even more ... my parents are old school chinese, every time i buy something nonfunctional to living, eating, sleeping and pooping they tell me i'm wasting my money and they should look after it. they've said that about video games, comic books, trading cards, and now my whole collection of toys and statues. and its a good thing i'm back to being single my ex's would have killed me if they saw all my toys. these are always great to read...finally have sometime to read your blog. i'm am defiantly all for eco friendly packaging but i like the way the figures come in, they don't get damaged even if the box gets mangled. don't they offer recyclable plastic, they have a lot of that where i live and it makes a big difference in the amount of garbage that gets tossed out. I buy the pop corn or snacks when i go to the theater because it keeps the theater open. i don't know how many people know this but the revenue from the movie... ( View formatted comment » )

i would describe dannychoo.com to be an otaku informant site. it has information that encompasses the otaku culture and the daily life of one :) and just one thing when i first noticed when i saw the new design, it looks similar to the apple page...is that what your going for? oh krispy kreme making people fatter one doughnut at a time. i remember the huge line ups we had when they first opened in BC...now i don't see many people go there...maybe because its out in the middle of nowhere. not worth the drive when the tim hortons is a hop and skip away. in my case i have to speak cantonese because my parents don't speak english so i do understand that situation. since i grew up learning english i use cantonese less and less. however it helped a lot in high school because of the boom in chinese immigrants to the school or the area anyway. at least then i could tell if people where speaking behind my back, always a surprise to people for some reason. i also took up japanese and mandarin (reading and writing) but i haven't used it in so many years i don't remember any of it. downtown hastings is probably the most run down area in vancouver, and i would say the crime down there is pretty high compared to most places in vancouver. drug dealings, break ins, theft and the such and in broad day light too. got my car broken into once when i was down there. the housing is settling a bit here...there has been a huge increase in house prices in the recent years, even old homes that look run down are expensive. as for run down homes it seems to depend on the city, there are cities that have tons of nice homes and then just drive down a couple of streets and the whole street are older homes. the city i live in the older homes seem more sectioned off but that could be because most people in the city take care of their homes and they always look nice. in the end it seems like older homes are sectioned... facial expression is easier to get on 2d drawings than it is to sculpt, however i am not saying that its impossible. also it depends on the sculptor and his/her discussion as well, i find the stuff done my movic is very different compared to the stuff done by kotobukiya.
