If it's an actual product for sale, well... it's horrendous. IF it is a handmade figurine, then it looks pretty cool. The difference is that the person making it would be doing it out of passion for the show. If it was a mass product sale then it would have been made for monetary purposes. A lot of good fansubs (even when you pick just a few, doesn't matter which) have awkward translations because the translators go for a more literal wording (or just plain make a mistake). And even the viewer itself would not notice this kind of thing since either: you're too into the story, or you know enough Japanese to not notice the blunder. drawings = not real. real children = well what do you know: REAL. Of course they can't fool us when they state someone like Pastel Ink is 18 years old (COME. ON.), but most of the time the body doesn't fully reflect our age and personality. For example I have a bigger build than most girls and have more chest, but people who talk with me think I'm at least 4-5 years younger than my actual age. I care about manga reviews, but I don't go around looking for them because most of the time I just pick the book in the store or download a chapter and see for myself if it's good. I do like finding interesting blogs that cover rare/new/not so popular mangas, because most of the time they're a great read and I'm just missing them. I have limits when it's about nude anything displayed in my room (books are ok since you can just see the spine), mostly because I wanna keep it a bit conservative and second because I really like the clothes/uniforms (also why I don't care much if it's cast-off). People are always hypocrites when it comes to anything related to sex. The fact that they spot a nude figurine from the 50-sth you have is because they are just as obsessed as any person.
