The fans are thought to make the matter worse, they draw more current, and force the air through faster than the built in fans are designed to handle. So can put strain on those. If you really want to do anything, then a straight replacement of the built in fans and heatsinks with quieter, faster fans will do more good, although you will void your warranty. Mine died after about 14 months, the RROD is covered for three years, so as long as that's the only problem, you should be fine. The newer models are better, but can still die for no good reason, there's no way of knowing what will happen, no way of choosing from a "good batch" as it's an inherent design flaw in general. Usually sodium chloride solution and something like sodium nitrate, ammonium iodide, ammonium sulfamate, etc. Relatively harmless stuff (but you still wouldn't want to ingest it). I used to buy cans of self heating Nescafe and they had the reactants on the side of the can. ( View formatted comment » )

Seconded, there's a seller on ebay that makes these for real on demand, and can make custom ones with your image. At least there was about 4 years ago... ( View formatted comment » )

I did a Devilman kit without a compressor and it came out great, but I did it in the anime colours, so didn't need any shading/detail. Great work though, you do commissions? ^_^ ( View formatted comment » )

Already debunked as a hoax sadly, but they are working on a new game, just no news about it yet. ( View formatted comment » )

Can you order the stands? I have a few figures (non-figma) that would be great with a figma stand, especially my Revoltech Haruka! ( View formatted comment » )

Try "Recuva" it's free, and is pretty good, I have used it a few times to recover things on machines I have fixed for people. ( View formatted comment » )

I bought 7 random Love Hina and got the full set of 6, and a rare colour variant! I also bought a load of Akira capsules and got the full set and enough of the right spares to build the extra large figure of Tetsuo. But, I bought loads, and I mean LOADS of .hack// capsules and only got two different characters... ( View formatted comment » )

I won a tenner on the lottery when I was 16... that was 12 years ago and I have not one anything since... I also won one of about 5000 runners up prizes on Blue Peter of some reflective stickers to put on your bike. The first prize was a bike, and seeing as I didn't have one (hence my entering) the prize was largely useless... ( View formatted comment » )

Increase the f.stop of the lens/camera, that looks like it's f6, if you had something like f12 you would have more in focus, but would need a longer exposure/higher ISO. ( View formatted comment » )

I used to belong to a shooting club, only small caliber and air rifles, was quite good at it, but most of them have closed down in the last 10 years because of all the controversy about gun crime in the UK. Hoping to find a range when I go to Florida in November and try some "grown up" guns. ( View formatted comment » )

Very nice! one good thing about having an iPhone (probably the only good thing) is having a decent music player and a phone in one device. ( View formatted comment » )
