My wife is from Okinawa, and she is all about tipping in the States, but very vehement about not tipping whenever we're in Japan. My wife is Okinawan, and the area around her parents home in Naha is just like this. Mainly it is because there is no room to put these wires underground and would take far too long to just tie up traffic. ( View formatted comment » )
