Seriously. The pictures make the kits look so good and so cool! I ended up buying Unicorn Gundam because of Hobby Japan. Still afraid to touch him though because of what I heard were "knee" issues. ( View formatted comment » )

Tomoyo is my second favorite character easily. Ill always be a Kotomi-chan fanboy first. Kyou is definitely third and Fuuko and Nagisa far on the bottom. I just cant get behind Nagisa. Awesome episode, im glad others have seen it as well. Anyone know if theyre ever gonna release these on R1? Im still waiting to finish my Kanon =( ( View formatted comment » )

Men's Pocky. Love bitter chocolate. unlike a candy bar which i feel obligated to eat all of it in one sitting, i can eat one stick at a time and be more satisfied. ( View formatted comment » )

Anyone else have this experience? I mean just meeting the parents is a big deal. Worse than any job interview I can remember. My gf at the time did a great job of hyping me up, and the important thing was that we were happy together. Unfortunately for his case the receiving parents looked at it at a financial/business view. Thats THEIR loss. I wish him my best and I hope it motivates him for the right reasons. the motivation to prove someone wrong only lasts for so long, its the motivation to prove yourself wrong that will stay with on... i do spend a fair amount of time on the internets, i just cant live without it anymore. Im fortunate enough to also spend a lot of time doing a lot of my outdoor activities and hobbies. You name a sport and ive got gear for two. Will be going paintballing in about two weeks, and today I played american football with some buddies. Training up for another triathlon in spring of 09 when it starts getting warmer. Though most of my free time is really spent indoors-its cheaper to doodle on my new intuos3 and check on dannychoo than it is to go... ( View formatted comment » )

Yeah I cited character development as a weak point for the exact same reason as you did. They gave the trinity siblings too much irrelevant screen time, and dont even get me started on Saji and whats her face. Ali Al would have been cool to develop further, but I think I get the gist of where hes coming from. I was extremely upset that they brought Graham in at the last second to do nothing but get whipped and don the obligatory mask. I dont know about anyone else but I really liked him and I was hoping that he would lose all his friends ... ( View formatted comment » )

Hmm, i can only think of ONE character that nails how I operate and thats - Colonel Maes Hughes from Full Metal Alchemist. Yeah, I know wierd. But hear me out - heres a guy in one minute is super enthusiastic about his family to the point of annoyance and the next is pulling strings and getting the feed from the right sources. Its like hes operating two persona's but never forgetting his objective and goals. I especially like his relationship with Mustang, as the guy who "works below to push you up." Ive always enjoyed bei... ( View formatted comment » )

Simple is always better for me-just a clean white label and simple text. Though my brother does stencil his dvd copies - stencil art and sharpies are FTW. I highly recommend going that route - especially for logos, comes out SO clean. We've been making copies of all of our DVDs since weve both had our collections stolen (somewhere close to 300 DVDs and 200 cds) Anything we buy we end up burning a copy of and using the copy instead of the original. The originals end up being stored away never to be seen until the copy gets too scrat... ( View formatted comment » )

I wasnt depressed per se, but definitely did not expect the body count to be that high. Otherwise I really like the series, it feels more tangible and real than any of the others. Wing was my first exposure to the gundam universe then slowly I watched Zeta and 08th MS Team. Just in the last year I gave the Seed series a try, bought all of the DVDs on a blind whim. A little disappointed, but at least I have it. 08th continues to be my favorite and I highly recommend it. As for where 00 sits, I agree with you with the whole dark politic... Akiba is always a stop. Shopping too for new art books and DVDs. Too bad the best studios dont make All-region DVDs. = ( . Last time I went to Akiba was on a Sunday, and they closed down traffic for the day. Do they always do that? I also remember aspiring idols and maids, and maids and more maids. I remember walking more up and down than to and fro. I miss Tokyo so much. I love these kind of posts, makes me feel like I am back there again. I like the food posts too, wheres a good mexican joint in Tokyo? I only remember one t... ( View formatted comment » )

hang in there man - we've all been there before. dont give up just yet. you might end up finding something that you like about it. I hope that you can find other people who are passionate about their jobs/careers and pick their brains-in chemistry or not. expose yourself to new experiences, and you might just stumble on something. sorry for the lecture, i wish you my best, and let us know how it goes. good post. im always looking for new artists. looking at his stuff i really like his coloring ability. as for the girls themselves, i like the simple look but am not a fan of the lolis. Tony Taka and Shunya Yamashita are still my favorites. though theres this other guy coming up too, cant remember his name right now. ( View formatted comment » )

passion for certain things will come and go with some people, and stay forever in others. i had been out of the whole anime thing for a good 5 years and it came back fast just at the beginning of this year. i still have my old school eva and zoids from the early 90s. i recently started collecting figures, though most of them are boxed up because my living conditions dont currently allow me to have them displayed. things happen and stuff comes and goes. ive just started writing things down in a hobby journal of whatever new thing im doing...
