All of the series that Bello has mentioned are classics. My largest? Ummm. Since I don't have them with me I am guestimating that the largest volume of manga for a particular series that I've collected would be Get Backers. (39'ish?) I was truly fortunate to get a majority of it from BookOffs in Ebisu, Akiba, and the their big store in LA sometime ago. Purchasing new manga really eats up your wallet :/ Eventually, I will have big contenders such as Beck or One Piece charging in the lead within a few months. But to answe... Danny, I keep missing you every time you appear in the area. Lately, I've had to visit Toranomon for business and before that a bit of Shibuya and Harajuku for some shopping. Will you be making another guest appearance in Akihabara or Shibuya towards the end of this week? I've got to take a live snapshot before I leave :D And nice shot with the Koda Kuma look-alike! What a shocker. I was at the exact same place yesterday. I bought a DS game and some Revoltech figures at Sofmap. I was watching this live earlier today and still am surprised about this incident. ( View formatted comment » )

Something looks suspicious. I just can't quite put my finger on it... Maybe it is the twisted expression of Haruhi. ( View formatted comment » )

FYI: Unless there has been a very recent press announced, there have only been confirmations of nine or so web-cast-episodes which are relatively short (8-10 minutes). Despite the fact that there has so far only been two episodes that have been 'officially' released. I was first introduced by this from listening to the Korean artist Meilin - who sings the music; it is very catchy, cute, and a great addition to anyone's J-Pop collection. These are fun to look at. Thanks for sharing Danny. I must say that they really upped the brightness/contrast too high in the first image. The user would might as well add a lens flare for safe keeping. The second image is choke full of proportional issues. Case in point: A Jay Leno's chin or the oddly lumped chest. Read a fairly recent article with a similar topic on Kotaku comparing Japanese's current technology vs. US' technology on the consoles. You can find it here: http://kotaku.com/380213/japanese-tech-is-not-behind-western-tech In fear of leaping into an emerging flame debate, here's a little throwback to the history games -- It is sad that the two different societies have pigeon-holed themselves into only deliv... I would like to see myself animated in order to see those giant sized tear drops when characters get in those awkward situations. Or a complete scene of ecchi so my nose can strongly burst out and overflow of freshly squeeze blood. ( View formatted comment » )

I'm a large fan of Nodame. You've mentioned that in every episode you had brief moments of rapid successions of laughter. Did you not have a similar experiences when watching Haruhi for each episode? C'mon, be honest mister. The anime is great. The seiyuu for Nodame (Ayako Kawasumi) and Chiaki (Tomokazu Seki ) were spot on. The drama is even better. The actress for Nodame (Ueno Juri) and the actor for Chiaki (Tamaki Hiroshi) were absolutely brilliant with a 'capital T.' The music was superb as in the anime. Ho... ( View formatted comment » )

Air Gear had bountiful reaps of interesting potential. As it stands now the manga is currently in a very warped and unexpected state. Not to say I am unintrigued in the latest arc, but with the most recent developments it makes me question the Manga-ka. (Yeah I am also indirectly pointing this to you Kishimoto and Kubo!) This is by far one of the best I've seen for this year. I really dig the amount of effort put into this. I don't know how many times, I've repeatedly played it. ( View formatted comment » )

Hurray. This season of anime has been ridiculously boorish and stale with only a few meager series drawing my interest. And with the final episode of Gundam OO ending it's first season, I revert back to dramas. However even then dramas are following the same formula of deriving it's show from mangas with less than satisfactory adaptations. The manga for Vampire Knight is surprisingly decent so I can see great potential in the series. Line Barrels gets animated? Ooooo. ( View formatted comment » )

Awesome. Danny. KoR and Lupin are such classics! Lately, the specials for the Lupin movies/ova's have either been decent or horrible. I haven't seen the most recent Green vs. Red yet. Detective Conan is phenomenal addicting if solving crimes interests you. However it would be difficult to get into it if you haven't seen the beginning. Yet even though half of the cases are standalone, I have caught myself reading the same chapters of the manga to backtrack. Haha. I'm a large fan of Akemi Takada's work and alwa... Hey Danny do you always head up to Akiba during the weekends? I plan to spend around a little over a month in Tokyo and a week in Osaka from May to the end of June. It would be an honor to bump into you for a picture in your outfit ;) ( View formatted comment » )

The game is worth it to be able to play God Gundam alone which would then be followed by Wing Gundam because everyone wanted to be a Wing bo-ya in 1995. It is very intriguing that they would include Turn A Gundam and not Gundam X, XX, Victory Gungdam, F91, or GP01. ( View formatted comment » )

R-1 said, "Funny how people think it's Sayla and Amuro for the top pic, considering they were never really a couple in the series (Only in the novel. Oh, and Amuro dies there too. But who cares about that?)... Oh God, have to put my geek-button on the "off" position..." Amuro and Sayla always had a close relationship, if not romantically then as close friends.
