In Singapore, the average "mat-bike", as some of us call it, is a 3-seater and doesn't need any modifications except for rear-wheel pegs.
Day in, day out, and especially during school holiday weeks, you'll see lots of those, with 1 kid on the seat, 1 on the rear-wheel pegs, and 1 on the handlebars. All Malay kids, always.
