you don't wanna know... my first mac was an ibook. unfortunately, the i series of apple notebooks (this includes the macbook too to some extent) are not really made for a lot of commuting/traveling in a stuffed bag. in my case, it led to the well-known "ripped off voltage regulator pins". i got a logic board replacement FOUR TIMES. and a new ibook TWICE. after the 7 failure, apple gave me a macbook as the ibooks were already end of line. i'm mostly happy with it, but use takes its toll: the keyboard/mouse bezel is chipped o... don't like those rfid based cashing systems (like felica) at all. opens the floodgates to unwanted tracking, profiling and maybe even fraud. it's very sad that so many gov'ts start to stuff those rfids into passports and force people to carry them around. with no serious protection against abuse. or at least severe penalties. while i'm all for electronic payment systems, undetectable access to personal data, or even just the possibility of identification is something i'd rather avoid. switzerland has only 7.6% of vat, one of the reasons why people don't want to be part of the eu. books and food are even less: 2.5%. unfortunately, food is expensive in itself. thus, many people go shopping to germany or france, if they live close to the border. you can show your passport or residence permit at the shop's help desk, fill a form out and get the vat back. then you've got two choices: cross the border and hope the customs don't check you out, or hand them your form and be charged for the swiss vat. saves you m... that sounds all so familiar. when the legislation in switzerland passed new laws against child abuse, they decided child porn could be anything. they make no difference in it being 3d or 2d, even though, at least as far as japanese 2d porn is concerned, it's almost guaranteed there's no child abuse involved. while i strongly support the abolishment of abuse, putting 2d fans totally at the mercy of a judge's discretion (it's his decision what would be considered as child porn at what not) leaves a very, very bad aftertaste... 15-20€? wow, they seem to have raised prices quite a bit lately. groceries are still quite cheap thou afaik (in germany). not so much in my country... but restaurants are equally expensive, surprisingly. maybe you just went to the wrong places with danny. tourist locations are always more expensive. :) ( View formatted comment » )

and what if i want to go to work together with my girlfriend? or take her out in the evening? please, this is ridiculous. a better solution would be to better educate people from child age. men should know how to behave in public areas and be able to control their desires. females should strengthen their character, do martial arts and in general learn not to be affected by humiliation. i'm no expert, but i'd think gropers get most of their kick from feeling the humiliation of their victims. if the victim kicks their ass instea...
