Normally you'd be correct about the HDMI also bringing sound thru the single pass but the speakers on most LCDs are poopoo and you'd wanna hook it up to external speakers anyways. My PS3 is currently not connected with the monitor because it only has one HDMI port and one D-SUB (really weak compared to others with multiple hdmi, dsub, dvi, component, etc) my computer is connected to the HDMI thru a converted that came with the lcd. My xbox is connected thru the d-sub(vga) port with a special cable that has a vga port connector instea... ( View formatted comment » )
