Good choice danny! Plasma is still much superior to LCD in contrast and fast moving scenes. I was considering buying LCD but when I looked at some of my anime and photos on my old Goldstar (now LG) TV vis the PS3, they just looked so much more vivid than when viewed on my monitor (20.1" Viewsonic LCD). Plasma is the closest thing you can get to a HD CRT tv. Hopefully, some reasonably priced 1080p plasmas come on market so I can experience PS3 in true hd. ( View formatted comment » )

like some people pointed out, you made a typo danny (7.4 instead of 74kbps). That should theoretically be about 9MB/s? I get around 700KB/s download on non-peak times. Could be better but I'm happy with it for now (it comes free of charge with my room). Didn't notice any significant changes when I used internet in Japan or Korea. ( View formatted comment » )

It's rather simple really. If you're not going to move your laptop around, buy a desktop. Many college freshmen in NA buy laptops but more often than not, it just ends up sitting on a desk so why not just invest in a desktop? As for me, I have a big desktop with 5 fans and SLI, enough hp for most games. ( View formatted comment » )

I own the PS3 but so far, I've only played FFXII on it ;; There simply isn't any good games out right now imo. I've ordered Railfan but it's taking way too long to ship! PS- if you want to jump on the ps3 boat, the time is now! Get the discounted 60Gig version as the 80 and 40 don't have the ps2 emotion-chip on them. ( View formatted comment » )
