Peer-to-peer filesharing is *insecure*. The authorities, if they want to spend enough time and effort, can find out who is doing the seeding. Which they did in this case.
How do you think the producers of *uncensored* content securely get the content out of Japan?
They zip the content of whatever has been ripped, encrypt it with a password, and use semi-anonymous file uploaders. Some of those can handle up to a 15 GigaByte file.
On the other end, somebody else has the DownLoad Key, the password, and has the unzipper|decrypting program.
