I went to Celebration III in Indianapolis right before the release of episode III. It was such a fantastic event. Even the master himself was there. (George Lucas!!) If i could cosplay as anyone it would be Boba Fett, but the armor would have to be very detailed to suit me. It would be far easier, and still cool to go as one of the emperor's Royal Guards, or maybe a character from the etended universe. Whats with all the xbox hating?! A true video game fan would look beyond marketing techniques, business strategies, and an overhaul of some UI interface. I mean its all about the games folks. I believe you would find there to be fantastic titles on all the consoles out there. But if you want to be childish and side with a video game system, like its a sports team then go ahead. I was trying to figure out how i was going to acquire a PS3 and FFXIII with my limited budget, but i made the choice of 360 as a gamble despite being a rapib rpg fan and i would say its paid off! Ex: Knights of the Old Republic, Lost Odyssey, Mass Effeect,Blue Dragon, and now this!!! As if stealing all the best from Sony wasn't alrdy enough(mistwalker) they got the series itself now. I find the science channel to be superior these days. Discovery and History are getting to wrapped up in these so-called reality shows. Blizzard is the King of PC gaming. Loooook at whats on the horizon: Diablo III, Starcraft II, and Wrath of the Lich King for WOW!!! Thats some serious selling power right there. These guys don't even have to hire anyone to market the games, they sell themselves. ( View formatted comment » )

So i noticed that theres nothing there for season 2 of Suzumiya Haruhi!!! I thought it would be out after Clannad finished up. That and shakugan no shana are all i'm looking forward to, as i know nothing about the newer shows. I will be reading into these so i don't let any gems slip through my hands. Nice article! I collect figures for the pure enjoyment of it. My collection mainly consists of Shana from Shakugan no Shana, and Haruhi Suzumiya figures. They go well together because both sport school uniforms, and are just cute-to-the-max! I'd like to eventually add some Rin figures from Fate/Stay Night. and top it off with some Clannad figures. Tomoyo if i can find her, shes my favorite! Id love to get my hands on a nice Spike from Cowboy bebop, but I usually only see Faye or Ed. I can't think of too many other male f... A similar ban was put into effect in the US in the state in live in.(Ohio) It was passed about a year or 2 ago. It bans smoking in all public locations. This even includes bars and clubs i believe. I must say i disagree with the ban carrying over into bars. I understand places like restaurants and stores, but people who drink often smoke.I am sure it hurts the bar owners. I'm a smoker myself, and it only bothered me that i couldn't smoke in the Hero House anymore.(a great lil eatery in Wooster with the best subs around!) O... ( View formatted comment » )

I think a lot of Otaku might be virgins, but not that high of percentage. And if they aren't interested in a woman/man thats fine by me. If they are and aren't seeing much success its really only a matter of putting yourself into more situations that will allow you to meet someone. If you live in a city o on campus join clubs for anime and other hobbies. If you like drinking, go out to bars and clubs and try your luck there. Or just get some alcohol! Roasted Sands video was priceless!! He makes so many ignorant comments, and obviously hasn't watched anything more than Naruto and Akira. He couldn't seem to decide if anime was from japan or china. I'm fine with others not enjoying what gives me pleasure, but i thought anime had spread to a point where it was starting to be viewed as a legitimate artistic medium. That was a great article Danny! I love seeing how these figures are produced. Though i wonder: The machines they use, and tech people they employ to write the code/algorithims for the machine, must be very expensive. I have 6 years of experience w/ manufacturing/shipping business, and i know how much even the most simple piece of machinery can cost. Sadly, the low wages of the non-tech skilled employies must help balance that out. Business is very evil in that way. ( View formatted comment » )

Well i love Evangelion more than any other anime series i have seen. And its refreshing to see a figure of someone other than Asuka and Rei. Who i find to be as cute/sexy as they come, but theres so much merchandise for them out there. I will be buying this when i see it for a reasonable price somewhere.And the revoltech Rei also!! I live in the US where pot is illegal because wars of any type net large profits and drug wars are no different than military wars in that sense. Despite all this i use it regualarly, and know many others of varying race, social status, financial position, and age who also use it. Its not about trying to look cool, or rebel against the government and establishment.Its not about escaping from reality, or running away from problems. I'll watch either one. If i can tolerate the dub voices, then i'll watch a dub. Theres always issues with cultural meaning going unexplained or being altered to fit American or another countries culture. I find myself watching more subs recently because most of the shows i currently watch are still being aired in Japan, so dubs aren't available. @Soushi: Your stereotypes of anime fans and VA's is really uncalled for.
