So many things I wonder about when things like this happen... firstly I have to say that I always read Akiba blog, and it's not like he goes out there just to take pictures of specific people, there is always a reason behind it... and he always goes to the trouble to mosaic out every face... I think that's damn impressive, many blogs would just leave it, I'm quite sure. Next thing... I wonder why it matters to him if his photo is exposed... surely, being the blogger on Akiba that he is, his identify as an otaku shouldn't... ( View formatted comment » )

Hehe, a few months ago a Japanese TV crew came to South Africa to film Otaku lifestyle in the country, I brought my dakimakura to the filming to be interviewed alongside it, even kissed it on film, the director guy was laughing to death but they never put that on TV... orz. I did find it a bit strange though, that when I first arrived I heard the film crew say "dakimakura no jidai wa itsu datta" or something similar, as if they were never found in Japan anymore... maybe I just misheard, (it was just eavesdropping) or are dakimakur... I'm looking forward to this game a lot more now that I've seen preview videos, it looked like it was just going to be more of the same from Doki Doki 1, but it looks like they've added random other minigames and such. Yeah, the wiki says it all :P Americans took the word for a cloth of tartan and turned it into tartan :/ I have Scottish blood, and many of my cousins are bagpipers with tartan kilts, so I've always known it as tartan. Damn worldwide inconsistencies. ( View formatted comment » )
