Rented this on blu-ray and have to say the animation/art/detail is better than the first Appleseed but didn't give me the "whoa cool" effect like the first one did. Compared to other blu-ray anime titles, the picture quality kinda blows on this one. It's not very consistent. Regarding the story, it was interesting at first but like others have said, it turns into some strange Matrix-style storyline towards the end. The whole love-triangle thing with Tereus/Briareos/Deunan kinda just feels awkward to have in the story... ( View formatted comment » )

The thing is though, wasn't it in the books that Dr. Nevell became the "last" human being on the planet, hence the reason why he's a legend? In the movie, he had the boy and the girl with him. ( View formatted comment » )

I liked this ending better, but the original one had the narrative that at least explained why the title of the movie was "I Am Legend." ( View formatted comment » )

HELL. If it were a one-night stand type of thing it'd probably be like heaven, but the next day you'll wake up with the most painful sore in your groin from all the activity going on. If it's not a one-night stand, definitely hell! Imagine all those girls PMSing and having their period on the same week?! Afterall, girls that live together tend to have their periods synchronised over time. GAAH!! ( View formatted comment » )

Her eyes' aren't really that big. Most of the time they're just pushed up by really tight bras or tops. She looks great that's for sure, and I'd say she was one of my favs, but she's really getting old and I'm surprised she still looks good in gravure despite her age. ( View formatted comment » )

IMO, wtf was Apple thinking not including 3G on the MBA? If they wanted to emphasize wireless they should've at least implemented that. Anyway, the general consensus on every forum i've been to says the MBA is more for the self-conscious fashion geek that needs to show it off at their local Starbucks or better yet, Dean & Deluca's. Blu-Ray here in the States beat HD-DVD in movie sales consistently w/ a recent 3:1 in sales last week according to NPD. People always say "but the NPD doesn't include Walmart sales." IMO that doesn't change anything since Walmart sells both BD and HD discs. There's already porn in BD as well as HD. Software selection at retail chains always have 2-3x more blu-ray selections over hd-dvd. Also, prices for standalone bd players are dropping a lot, approaching prices of HDDVD players. The cheapest HDDVD player costs... ( View formatted comment » )

I'm curious why she's not that well known compared to the other gravure idols. Some one posted the above video on another website and an idiot there confused her w/ Reon Kaneda. Heck I have a lot of Kana-chan's idol vids and I was curious how her new one released (Irodori) is like/a good buy, but no one seems to know.... kinda sad, considering she has a great bubbly personality especially when compared to other idols. I've been seeing people here buying the 40gig PS3s at Best Buy when I go in to play Guitar Heroes 3. Been addicted to that game ever since my gf introduced me to it at her workplace. Danny, since you read english, you should import Uncharted: Drake's Fortune if it's not already out in Japan. I just picked that up today as well as Mass Effect. Both are truly awesome games to have. Mass Effect is kinda "slow" but the atmosphere is great. I think it'll get GOTY this year over Uncharted though, since Mass does... ( View formatted comment » )

i think that was just a rumor spread around by people. it's been debunked and there're already like two pron titles on blu-ray here. ( View formatted comment » )

Dell once sold systems that were Vista-only, but now you have the option to choose Vista or XP. IMO Vista looks nice but this visual upgrade taxes the system instead of helping it (unlike Mac OS). It does nothing to help the user. Gadgets are a joke compared to Widgets. Vista also makes file copies and movings very very slow compared to XP despite having more than the recommended amount of ram. Lastly, Vista isn't fully compatible with everyone's machine. On my machine, wireless always drops out and hangs Vista Connect To and CO... ( View formatted comment » )

Hmm... I'm under the assumption that Japan already has a lot of PS3 in homes and if it was the case, why would someone want to go out and buy another one, especially a newer model lacking bc? I suspect people will be buying the PS3 when MGS releases, but until then, it doesn't seem like Japan will have any interest in the PS3 unless it's price competitively against the Wii. Kaki no Uta? The writing on the disc... I googled that and Play-Asia listed it as a cd from a Cina & Kakizu. Clicking on their name doesn't list anything else other than music under the Sony Music label. They/She must be new? ( View formatted comment » )

Skirts don't normally have slits in the middle like that one. They're usually on the side - also where the zipper is. I have a feeling maybe she wore it wrong w/ the zipper to the middle of her waist instead of to the side. That just doesn't look right... though it isn't bad either. ( View formatted comment » )

Sony relied too much on PS2 userbase and loyalty that they let MS snatch the exclusives and turn games into multi-platform titles. Even Mass Effect & Assasin's Creed were originally PS3 titles but either turned Xbox-only or multiplatform. Gotta blame upper management for their arrogance but can't really blame the system. I wonder how the people in Japan will (or have) react when their 360 gets a RRoD. Not to add fuel to flame, but it seems a lot of people neglect the brighter side of things. The Wii doesn't play dvds and some people complain about it. The PS3 has blu-ray yet people complain about it instead of telling themselves they won't have to go buy a BD standalone in the future. Let alone, inclusion of BD opens the opportunity for new ideas in the gaming development industry as long as developers take advantage of it. Heck, people and devel... ( View formatted comment » )

dogs in the mall ten years ago used to cost that much. rodents cost about half that much unless you want a bigger hamster. dogs are easier to take care of than hamsters too, but they eat more and food doesn't last as long. btw, rodents stink up the wazoo if you don't clean their bedding every couple days. the up-side i guess is that you don't have to give them a bath since they clean themselves (you're not supposed to anyway). dogs... you gotta wash.
