The Taibei MRT is pretty sweet, though it does get rather crowded (though not nearly so bad as Tokyo trains, I'm told). As for the makeup issue, as some people have suggested, perhaps it's a matter of safety – a mascara applicator in the eye would certainly not be pleasant. Moreover, though, it seems kind of impolite, almost, to do something like that in public. I imagine prevailing Japanese sentiment would demand that such toilette be carried out privately. Maybe they should start a new sign campaign, showing a lady... ( View formatted comment » )

This is the second image I've seen of the GITS crew in... unusual attire. (I believe the first one had all of Section 9 gussied up in maid outfits.) Something's amiss. ( View formatted comment » )

I wonder if one of these could be installed in a ganmen cockpit to be deployed in those emergencies where one's spiral power is waning. ( View formatted comment » )

That first line should read: "I'm inclined to agree overall, but have gotten used to Lazengann." ( View formatted comment » )

The Fraulein Yoko will be interesting, indeed. While in the end I think I'll have to go with one of the other Yoko figures (my girlfriend will only let me have one T___T), the Fraulein might be a good alternate choice if I just can't find the right one. As for Tengen Toppa, I'm sure it'll be one helluva figure, but it's just a bit much for me. My Gunpla would all feel intimidated. ( View formatted comment » )

I'm inclined to agree overall, have gotten used to Lazengann. I like the kinship it implies with Lagann, and indeed perhaps they chose to romanize "Razengan" this way to keep that similarity, since they'd already decided on the L for Lagann. Additionally, there's that whole Naruto thing which sounds the same, and they probably wanted to avoid any potential infringements. ( View formatted comment » )

Not too interested in the Revoltechs slated to come after Lazengann, but I am curious to see how the Tengen Toppa turns out, if nothing else. Enki will no doubt be a nice figure, but I never liked that ganmen very much. Just Gurren Lagann and the Spiral King will do the trick for me. ( View formatted comment » )

Shin Musha looks almost good enough in that picture to convince me, but in the end it's still not my thing, and my housemate is set on it already anyway. I, on the other hand, seem to be the only person I know who's excited about the ver. 2.0 Gundam. Anyone else? ... Anyone? *sniff* ( View formatted comment » )

Nice collection. Not much into chibis, but that Yoko with the rifle and the Lagann look pretty nice. Good luck completing the set. ( View formatted comment » )

Definitely different, but I guess it suits this odd model, and is reminiscent of some of the classic old illustrations of it (which were posted recently). ( View formatted comment » )

Overall this one has my recommendation. As noted on my little gallery page, while this Revoltech doesn't stand up to the standards of detailing and finishing set by stationary pre-painted figures, on the other hand it puts the action in action figure in an amazing way that I've never encountered before. This is the first action figure I've got since I was in elementary school, if memory serves, and it does not disappoint. ( View formatted comment » )

I hear a Revoltech Enki is also in the works, as well as a Fraulein Yoko, so perhaps there's hope for more Revoltech ganmen. Considering the King Kittan's popularity, it seems like an obvious choice. If nothing else, I believe Konami has a King Kittan figure in their upcoming lineup. ( View formatted comment » )

Looks lovely. Posture's a little odd for the Major, and her right hip has a funny look to it, at least from the angle of the photo, but what a great face. ( View formatted comment » )

Let me know what you think of it when yours arrives. For me, this one's really just a precursor to the Lazengann coming out next month. ^___^ ( View formatted comment » )
