Nice picture. But there seems to be an awful lot of jpeg compression on the full size version. And the outline around Nakoruru is "crusty" looking (like it wasn't selected properly in Photoshop when it was isolated from its source image). Still a great pic tough! ( View formatted comment » )

No problem, I was more refering to Karasu-kun anyway. The way he talked down to me like that, and tried to insult my intelligence was degrading as hell, and it was totally uncalled for. I feel very strongly about my belief in watching dubs over subs, and my reasons for doing so. Why do you guys have be so insulting? I gave my (legitimate) reasons for prefering dubs, and you just trash me? Real classy. As I've said, I have seen a number of anime shows all the way through in sub format. And I just don't enjoy it that way. Dub voice actors are actually really good. Back in the 90's I would agree with you, but that is outdated thinking at this point. Modern American anime companies use very good actors that are very professional. I've just always been that way. If I want to read anime, then I'd just stick to manga instead. I've watched a few shows subtitled, but it just isn't the same. I find myself missing half the animation because I'm focusing too much on keeping up with reading the subtitles, and I end up having to pause and rewind frequently when I miss something. I mean, the point of anime is to watch it, not read it. I like to just kick back and enjoy the animation and understand the show the way people in Japan do. They certainly don... I'm starting the show with the US release on DVD. I'm a dub person, so I do it that way with most anime. And since only the first volume is out right now, that's all I've seen of Lucky Star (only the first 4 episodes). So you're not alone in being late! ( View formatted comment » )

I can only hope that these games actually turn out good. But the track record of anime based games is just too pitiful for me to get excited about stuff like this. As an owner of a PSP, a Wii, and an iPhone (similar to the iPod Touch). I say go with the Wii. The PSP has by and large, been a disappointment for me, while the Wii is something that I play every day. Smash Bros. Brawl, and Mario Kart Wii have owned my life since I got them. And other great games, like Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy, Zack and Wiki, Fire Emblem, Boom Blox, and No More Heros are all fantastic as well. My friend at work absolutely despises anime. He has nothing against american made cartoons (Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, etc.), but he just has some bizarre hatred for all things anime. He won't even explain to me why he hates it. He just flat out refuses to watch any kind of anime, in any form. He doesn't even like videogames where the characters "look like anime characters". My Anxiety issues are quite similar. When I'm around new people, I always end up standing to the side and not saying anything. Even people that I do see all the time, like everyone at work, I get nervous around when we start to socialize. I've always been a Mac person. I've never owned a PC in my entire life. Our first computer ever was a Mac, and we never even considered going with a PC or Windows. The Mac operating system has always been leaps and bounds better then Windows. ( View formatted comment » )
