Wow, I was able to revisit a lot of places in Tokyo. I even found my hotel and could recreate my walk to the train station. Thanks for the heads up Danny. It really brought back the good memories. ( View formatted comment » )

I also saw both movies this weekend, and would have to agree with you completely. I enjoyed the action of Wanted, but found Wall-E to be the better film. I'm suprised just how deep and moving Wall-E turned out to be. It just goes to show, that no one can beat Pixar. ( View formatted comment » )

Went and saw Wall E yesterday, and have to say it's one of my favorite Pixar movies. Just really funny and sweet. It also has a really deep message to it too. Plan on seeing it again this weekend. ( View formatted comment » )

I really enjoyed the origianl series. It's kind of a slow slice of life show. I thought it ended a little abruptly, and would have like to have seen more about the chacters. I hope they at least make an apperance in this one. ( View formatted comment » )

Here in Oregon, you can't smoke in any public places. Even at my work, they are having to move the smoking section 20 yards from the nearest entrance of the building. I'm not a smoker, but have friends who are, and they're not to happy about all the bans. Guess they should just quit. ( View formatted comment » )

Don't think I would use those. I'm currently in a weekend marathon of Okami. It's one of those games I think about even when I'm not playing. ( View formatted comment » )

When I was in High School, I worked part-time at a retirement home for $4.25/hour. I remember how great I thought it was that I didn't have to work fast food. One summer, I was a temp at a cemetery for $8.50/hour. Talk about a depressing job. ( View formatted comment » )

Just picked the Blu-Ray version the other day. The animation is really nice. Unfortunately the story is a little weak. Not to mention that it turns in to The Matrix Revolutions at the end. I liked the CG better this time, but like the story from the first one better. ( View formatted comment » )

Thanks for the footage. I really enjoyed Tekkon Kinkreet. The story did feel like it was missing some parts, but the animation is just stunning. There's also a lot of heart to it. Worth checking out. ( View formatted comment » )

I have been playing FFXI since it came out in the U.S. I've really enjoyed both the graphics and the battle system in it. FFXII was really a single player version of FFXI. So, if you played that, you should have a good idea of how FFXI works. It is a real time suck though. ( View formatted comment » )

While not as good as its Japanese cousin, Newtype USA was better then most anime mags here. It sounds like this mostly has to do with licensing fees and the fact they lost a lot of advertising dollars with the fall of Geneon. I will miss Newtypy USA. ( View formatted comment » )

Most of the places here are your typical American teriyaki shops. Not very authentic at all. But, there are a few that are really close. Ramen-Ichiban and Fuji Rice in Salem are both really good. Sushi world in Tualatin is one of the best around. I just wish I could find a good ramen shop here. Nothing beats the real thing in Japan. ( View formatted comment » )
