Some dolls like that exists for life saving tutorial and shop displays seen some myself.....from a distance disturbingly lifelike..

can't agree more...sometimes I admit I tend to go lazy :(....and just one last thing....perhaps you know it now ....but that little girl you described...she suffered from " Progeria " it's dramatic but forges so much respect as to the way they handle their lives...

I wear glasses too....some days I alternate with lenses...they give some kind of freedom of sight a strange kind of " I'm part of the flock " feeling.....but then again I cannot get rid of my glasses...it's just me ...I grew some kind of relationship with them throughout all those years.

See it often on the streets back here....and used it myself with my kid...it gives them some freedom of movement and at the same time they learn to stay in your proximity on their own....seen lots of parents tough walking with their kids normally.... once their siblings got loose from their hand...running after those little wild escapists :)
Haven't got that problem with mine ....he was used to freely along with me.
