Perhaps they're spending way too much budget on the music/songs and fancy CGI stuff... at least ep 10 was better. Still, Macross F feels pretty average to me so far... it's nowhere near as exciting like previous mech shows I'v seen. ( View formatted comment » )

I'll also mention that I loved the originality of 00 compared to every gundam series before it. It felt fresh and it has a fantastic plot which was _finally_ NOT about a war between two factions, something that has been rehashed to death in previous series. I loved how it developed the technology within the series and I loved how it developed the setting in the earlier episodes of the first season. I love Geass, but I still choose 00 as my fave mech show. It's far more mature and serious than either Geass or Macross. I love the politics, the realism, and how unique the characters are compared to previous gundam series, not to mention none of them or the gundams are invincible killing machines. It also has THE best battles I've ever seen in any mech show, with no recycled footage and no repeated action sequences. Every battle is different. Street Fighter III: Third Strike for me. Amazing refined gameplay, love using Makoto. I also love Garou Mark of the Wolves. Best SNK fighting game without a doubt. Terry and Rock owns all! ( View formatted comment » )
