This art was used in the teaser back-cover from a doujinshi sold a few years ago. I'm uncertain where the doujin did its debut, be it comike or independant, however it was slated to be a full out doujinshi (thus the teaser), but never came to be as far as I know. If it does exist, its release slipped under my radar, which would be a shame because the art looks so damn soft and pretty. ( View formatted comment » )

Kyonko is the female personalization of Kyon from 'Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya'. A series of fans on 2ch got together and decided to invert the gender of each of the characters to create hilarity and just be strangely creative as the Japanese always are. The result for Kyon was a big hit and sparked a series of fan arts, wall papers and all sorts of other fun stuff. ( View formatted comment » )

Hee~ Kyonko is awesome. I love the parody picture of Male Haruhi yanking on Kyonko's ponytail! ( View formatted comment » )

Hee, it happens to me when I bring my figures out for photoshoots as well, people look and some even approach and go 'uh, what the heck are you doing?'. I find it kind of cool, and I haven't encountered a single heckler yet. I say I'm lucky, but I'd like to believe people aren't that mean in Quebec. All in all, very nice figure there. I love the dress! ( View formatted comment » )

Beautiful pictures, Danny, it looks to have been a wonderful trip. I can't help but smile each time I see a picture with the Haruhi figma standing somewhere, seems to ubiquitous yet at the same time it always adds this hint of color and SOSdan awesome. I hope your return to Japan is easier on the jet lag than the trip to Hamburg. ( View formatted comment » )

This is my first figurine in my collection that actually has non-pvc 'put on' parts. I was kind of surprised at first, it's a novel idea after all but it goes well with the figure overall. ( View formatted comment » )

Hooray for Al-Azif pantieshots! It's a shame it's resin though... I used to do full resin assembly and painting but I just don't have the time since having finished post-grad. ( View formatted comment » )

Queen's Blade is a similiar yet separate series. Alice is from a sideline book called Queen's Gate. Alice's original design came from Nitro+, but it is indeed Queen's Gate and not Queen's Blade. ( View formatted comment » )

I can already hear the shrill voice of Louise calling poor Saito a stupid dog. For all the misfortune he's put through he should be allowed to peep and grope by default! Mmmm. Default. ( View formatted comment » )

Oh, and I didn't even answer your question. I go on international flights now and then for work (and sometimes for play), and as strange as it may sound, I found that drinking a fair amount of water keeps lag at bay. I find it makes the body feel refreshed and less ill. I'm lucky enough that I rarely feel jet lag but at times it does get to me. If I feel it getting strong, I usually chill the lag out with a pepsi or coke. I don't know why it works, it just does for me! ( View formatted comment » )

Hamburg looks strangely like downtown Quebec, with its strange mix of classic architecture restored and kept proper, yet dotting in with modern where they could fit it in. Bonus points for the BLT Breakfast. You're making me crave that right now. ._. ( View formatted comment » )

Over the top is definately one way to say it, but then again I think that's what gives this figure its charm. I gather it's some sort of like, two pronged fetish attack to try and yank in types of people that like Sasara. She's seen in both in the games (at different times) and I suppose the creators took a 'let's give both groups what they want' type thing. The only thing that's missing now is a good EGL-style Sasara figure, and all the moe points that made Sarasa popular in physical form will have been... ( View formatted comment » )

Eeeeeeesh, that's not a good combination for happiness. I hope your luck turns around for you, and fast. ._. I wish you the best of luck, at that, you seem like a good person and stuff like that shouldn't happen to good people. ( View formatted comment » )

Only 30 made of the other Sasara sukumizu? That's pretty damn disappointing to say the least as I probably would have picked up both. Maybe we'll diceroll and get lucky and they'll put out a prepaint-PVC version. At least I can only hope. ( View formatted comment » )

I actually didn't like all the Nendoroid versions when I saw them starting to pop up on the sites I use to import figures. But, I am not really sure why, but more and more I see them posted here and I start to like them better. o_o Am...am I being corrupted by chibis? ( View formatted comment » )
