Not much of a mmorpg'er but I do have a subscription with LOTRO (lord of the rings online) which I play very casually. Good community there too and a nice immersion environment. Can't say too much as I haven't touched the game in awhile. But if i did pour my heart and sweat into a game and watch someone else just swipe my char, Id be pretty angry too... I come here anywhere from once every two days or once a day, depending on how busy I am. However...I try not to surf the web while im studying, though that doesnt always work out :P so I might end up coming here 2 or 3 times in one day... ( View formatted comment » )

ooo hot topic here... Yea Im a sub person. I wish they also have dual audio in games so you can hear the japanese VAs. Its just the english sounds so scripted, a lot of the scenes, it sounds like they're reading the lines for the first time. One recent exception in my books though was full metal alchemist. I actually prefered the english dub over the japanese voices. ( View formatted comment » )

I switched from VLC to MPC+CCCP codec awhile back. VLC is versatile, but it had its problems. I still use VLC to capture screens though. And I didnt watch any summer anime. Im usually a season behind, so i read reviews of which animes were good, and I go back and watch them :P Better than sampling a whole bunch, time is precious :P ( View formatted comment » )

Most of the locations from true tears were based on real places. The anime usually makes a place look so much better though :P ( View formatted comment » )

Yea Im pretty obsessed with anime paino peices; if it has a nice easy melody, after watching a series, I'll go and find the piano sheet music. I rely heavily on sheet music, as Im not very good at transcribing my own. ( View formatted comment » )

Interesting read like always, you're very keep on this subject eh danny. I understand the whole follow your desire and do something that will create a sense of fulfillment in your life spiel. My views are a bit more cynical, and I really say its two-fold. Yes doing something in with your life that will bring a sense of personal achievement is great. However, I'm pretty sure those who have slaved at work and manage to make a fortune can also feel a sense of great achievement. I'm not going to explain my views in full detail, bu... reminds me of the news story awhile back, where a rich guy killed a cyclist i think, but he was proven to be not responsible...AFterwards, the rich guy tried suing the dead guys' family to get repair money b/c the dead guy's bike had cause some damage to his car. Some people are really self-centered... ( View formatted comment » )

Ugh cleaning figures every few days...I can only imagaine what would happen if you didn't I suppose. Mine are put into enclosed display cases and even only a door crack, the shelves get filled with dust after about a week... =S ?!?! at the ikea part, why sell a product in a market where theres a high rate of failure? But anyways, new lights look brighter, but the old ikea lights looked a lot cozier than these new ones. Maybe its just because I don't like "daylight" bulbs... ( View formatted comment » )

Heh I've been watching quite a lot of AoTS lately. And ever since Kevin and Olivia went to Japan, I've grown accustomed to watching chris hardwick and layla....I actually find chris a better host imo. Can't wait to see this episode. ( View formatted comment » )
