Congratulations on your success so far! Its really informative and inspirational to learn about how you have progressed. It's giving me a really good insight into a career path and way of thinking that I otherwise wouldn't necessarily have followed before reading about your experiances. Id love to see more detailed posts like this ^_^ Keep up the awesome work! I look forward to see what happens next :) ( View formatted comment » )

once you get the metal spine replacement what next, arms, legs, head...when does the madness stop. It'll be on the news one day that a monster calling himself "dannybot" is stomping around tokyo destroying monorails and tall buildings EEK! On a more serious note, i had some pain in my lower back not so long ago. It never went as far as going to the doctor however i ended up buying a massive exercise ball and rolling around on it stretching my back and building up muscles. Id definiatly give exercise a go :) Good luck. ( View formatted comment » )

I've been holding out getting a mac laptop for a while because of the rumor about this and now its arrived im still not sure :P For roughly the price of a low end MBP I could have one but im not sure I can really justify the cost when I could get a standard macbook for less than half the price. Does look incredably nice though and the technology inside it is pretty incredable and is a good indicator of things to come I think. ( View formatted comment » )

omg Danny i want your internets. I have 2318kb/s download and 346kb/s upload >.< The numbers you get really do put our internet connections into perspective. Yet another reason for me to get my ass over to Japan ^^ There is a problem in the UK with internet providers offering speeds that arnt actually true. So they will say its 16MB but you may only actually get 7MB. Then they come up with all sorts of excuses like your too far away from the source etc. Seems stupid the prices we pay over here in the UK for a 16MB connection can b... ( View formatted comment » )

Hitting a child in any situation where they are not directly threatening you is in my eyes totaly unjustified. They could just take the manga off him. As far as im concerned physical punishment doest work anyway as it more than likly will strengthen the resolve of that student against doing what the teacher wants in future. Lead by example is what I say. ( View formatted comment » )

Glad to say ive never been bullied but ive been around people that have and it really shows in their self confidence etc. The sad fact is i dont think it's ever going to be truely eradicated. It seems that kids these days almost expect it will happen. I remember a report on the news in the UK not so long ago that backed up that view. I think in the UK the situation has become better over the past few years with government drives to stamp it out though. It seems in Japan it's almost part of the culture to bully "outsiders"... I have to admit im not a fan of these. Although in certain instances i think they can look nice. The 3rd/4th image down with the girl sat on the outdoor sink to me is quite a nice picture, has a certain artistic quality to it. The others just do nothing for me. ( View formatted comment » )

Being a student in the UK i have a student loan however i am lucky enough to have parents footing the tuition fee part of the loan at £3000 per year. Also because i didnt move away to go to university i still live at home and dont have much in the way of expenses. So i have the abiility to leave uni and pay back all of the loan they give me as soon as i graduate leaving my with no debt. However over the past few months ive seriously been considering spending some of it on a mac/software/camera lenses in order to learn more in my... ( View formatted comment » )

Personally I dont really find myself in the situation where i need portable games. my phone is 6+ years old now and it does me fine. Aslong as it phones people im happy :P Ive never really had much of an interest in portable gaming. Id rather spend my time day dreaming or reading a book :P ( View formatted comment » )

there are only a few places in the UK that seem to stock them and they cost 3-4 times the price they would in Japan and the 2-3x the U.S price. There again everything costs more in the UK >< so im used to it now. The few Gundam i do have came from www.gundammad.co.uk and i've had no problems with them so would reccomend :D This is just gives me another reason to move to Japan :D ( View formatted comment » )

I can understand the reasoning behind wanting to save a more "intelligent" animal. However it does seem to me slightly hypocritical to try and defend one animal and not others, they are all living creatures after all. I hope they didnt go down to the local KFC after that :P Having said that if i was given a choice id pick the dolphins everytime. You certainly cant question her motives and it was pretty brave of them all to try it, especially since it seemed at one point in the video the fishermen where trying to spear them instead... ive never understood the whole idea of lets get drunk and smash stuff up because it's cool. It seems to becoming the norm for kids these days in the UK. Nothing wrong with some fun or sensible drinking, but when it gets to the point that you are making a nuisance of yourself and damaging property its gone to far. I hope Japan never fall's victim to this kind of culture, a big reason id like to go live in Japan is to get away from that kind of thing in my own country. In conclusion, they only real otpion is to send in the sto... ( View formatted comment » )

personally i think its a bit of a no go. They may look cool but they would just be impractical in real war. not to mention that each one would cost billions if not trillions of $ That doesnt stop me wanting one though, and if they did ever do it they will have to beat people back at the gates of the recruitment office with sticks. its strange to think that in Japan pin numbers are getting phased out as old technology, pretty much just as we are starting to use chip and pin for everything. The only down side is that id rather have someone rob me for my pin number than cut off my finger :P ( View formatted comment » )
