Is it just me, or are the shadows and highlights totally off? Take the pokeball. Judging by the shadow, the light source is to the right, but the highlights on the ball are at the left... Same goes for the steel part of the screwdriver, only vice-versa. Still, looks pretty neat. ( View formatted comment » )

I'm normally extremely emotional, but so far Clannad has seriously disappointed me in that area. It does far better as a comedy than as a drama. I think I've only chocked up once, and that was when Kyou burst out in tears in the first season, other than that I haven't even come close to tears yet. As for the Misae arc, it was way too predictable. It was, IMO, a rather mediocre mix of several Kanon arcs badly executed. There is no need to reinstall. You can simply run the patch and it will automatically update your previous installation. Nevertheless, it is possible. Simply backup the "savedata" folder which you can find in the game directory and copy it to your new installation. ( View formatted comment » )

Aww, you beat me to it. Anyway, yes, this is the complete patch. It translated all routes in the original FSN game for the PC (both the CD and DVD version) and it has the option to import voices from Realta Nua if you happen to own it. ( View formatted comment » )

The idea of space elevators is far, far older than Gundam 00. In fact, people have been wanting to build one of these things since before we even had spaceflight. From what I understand, the classic idea of a huge rope/tower simply won't work and even if it did would be far too dangerous. These days, people are experimenting on shooting capsules up with ridiculously intense bursts of light and actually have made quite a bit of progress on that. By the time RA2 was being made, EA had already taken over control over their projects, they simply hadn't closed down the company yet. To say EA raped the franchise is putting it mildly and I absolutely refuse to even touch this game, no matter how solid the gameplay might be. Not so much cried, but definitely worth a mention: Homeworld really touched me more than once. Yes, Homeworld. (spoilers) It starts with the opening scene: The launching of the Mothership still moves me to near-tears every time I see it. The destruction of Kharak and the desperation of the fleet commanders hit me hard, great voice acting. Then during the final mission (unless you cheat by stealing the entire fleet of Ion-Cannon Frigates 2 missions earlier) there's a point where the enemy sends wave after wave after w... You know, I get the feeling this article isn't completely accurate... I sincerely doubt some of these come from shoujo manga. The first two spreads seem to be from a girls magazine, rather than a manga and the image after that (the blowjob one) is, IIRC, part of a guide for those Japanese soup "massage" parlors (is that the right term?) because I have seen more of those, dealing with various other techniques.
