Interesting poll. I think, maybe because I was brought up in a relatively well-to-do family(and hence am very analytical), that guys who need to pee standing to affirm their masculinity suffer from an inferiority complex. They HAVE to justify the fact that they are male by inconveniencing others. It's actually amusing to hear other guys say "it's what men do" because you can practically hear the self-justifying undertones. I can't think of any "natural" or "hardwired" reason for guys to pee standing.... ( View formatted comment » )

The equivalent thing in Singapore is called a central provident fund....I suppose it's somewhat better than the Japanese system where you(could^_^") get nothing, but the disadvantage of CPF is that some of the money is impossible to take out, and is extreme;y restricted in usage. I like to think of it as the government getting a cheap loan from citizens.(Since the interest they pay you sucks) ( View formatted comment » )
