That's Ashita, although it would be great, it sounds more like a surname instead of a name (e.g Ashta) tho :-/ ( View formatted comment » )

Well, P2P services can be damaging to the business, however, if you look at it from a different perspective, it too can bring some cultural aspects across to the newer generations (e.g anime ^^;) and thus open a potential market for more customers/buyers/investors abroad. There's pros and cons to everything I suppose. But how much does the pros or the cons weight, heavily depends on the person's personal point of view. ( View formatted comment » )

Speaking of part time jobs, the pay at KFC in singapore is roughly 4 dollars an hour, which is roughly 288 yen (McDonalds is worst @ 2.50~3 an hour). And although I used to have a job offering me 8~12 bucks an hour, I still gave it up after a while thanks to the enormous amount of workload they dump at you everytime. The only good pay amount comes after you've graduated from university with a doctorate or after you've migrated to another country. We're seriously underpaid even with the relevant skills in singapore. ( View formatted comment » )

From what I know, I do love the japanese culture. However, there is always pro and anti-japanese people around so we can't really do much about it, I guess. Its their own choice afterall. ( View formatted comment » )

Well, I had a friend who've went to hand up his assignment while he left behind his laptop charger in the school cafeteria, well, despite my warnings (I was about to head off for my part time job) to take everything with him, he simply left everything behind (And it happened in less than 5 minutes). Thats how scary and fast people can be in singapore. ( View formatted comment » )

Its not that I'm particular about my future, but I do believe the future holds an endless amound of possibilities. Maybe its me, but fortune telling is just one way of simply telling us about what may or may not happen in the future. But it does serves the purpose of an early warning system tho. I don't recall swimming classes (As a matter of fact, I never knew how to swim until recently) being a compulsory part in singapore's physical educational system, all I do recall was all the ball games that we have in our secondary and primary schools. ( View formatted comment » )

Hmm, Ragnarok 1 would be nice, other than that, I'll just recommend people to stick with stick with Mabinogi (Well, I've been playing Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars quite frequently after I've decided quit Ragnarok 1). Other than these two, not much good mmos out there I'm afraid. ( View formatted comment » )

Most singaporean students get more than 7 hours worth of homework every now and then, it would certainly be weird if some student gets less than 7 hours worth of homework in a week tho (Either they're lucky, or they're simply lying about it =__=). ( View formatted comment » )

Ours is CPF (Central Provision Funds) deductions and it'll be accounted for so after you retire you'll be able to get either abit of it out every month or get 50% out first. ( View formatted comment » )

Caning (usually followed by a week of in house suspension from school) is the only for those who did a serious offense outside of school and usually it deals with things such as -Getting into "gang" fights or -Destroying public property For those minor offenses, teachers usually asks the parents over and speak with them. I don't really see the reason to get physical over anything serious, after all the teacher can just confiscate the item and call the parents, that should do the trick. ( View formatted comment » )

Depends on what you want in singapore though. Basic room rental costs varies from 200SGD(15,175Yen) to 600SGD(Around 37,000Yen), and an entire apartment/HDB flat rental ranges from 1600SGD(121,422Yen) to 3000SGD(227,624Yen) each month. Its not too bad I suppose. ( View formatted comment » )

Walkthroughs doesn't really hurt. But cheats, thats another story. It'll depend on why did you cheat in the first place. Personally speaking, I do think that such things like Gameshark, Pro-Action Replay and CodeBreaker mainly spoils the fun out of some genres such as Strategy and RPG. ( View formatted comment » )

Tried it sometime ago and I must admit, its pretty nice. Although I had to stick to non-seafood alternatives but its still good nevertheless. Other than that, I'll usually have stash of instant noodles or cup noodles ready just in case. ( View formatted comment » )
