I live in the countryside in Japan and I feel very safe, aside from the giant hornets. This makes me very sad to see and I think it's a problem of society, not just here but in the US (my homecountry) as well. ( View formatted comment » )

I like your site but I would never attempt to access it from work or a public computer for the aforementioned reason. It's just not worth the hassle of explanation, should someone catch it flashing across my screen. I've met some anime and people who watch anime haters. Can't live peoples' lives for them. If that gives them a sense of self-worth, so be it. I've got better things to do than stand around and listen. And it doesn't even have to involve anime...we are capable of liking more than 1 thing. ( View formatted comment » )

I've never heard of the Sony Timer thing...all my Sony products have lasted well through all my travels. Knock on wood. I'd really like a video camera so I can document some of my life here but that looks way too expensive for me. I'm afraid I'll have to settle for something cheaper. ( View formatted comment » )

I got interested in Japan via its art (historical) and film. This then progressed to finding manga and anime, among other things. I like the the food culture and personal responsibility the best. There are a lot more but I'll leave it at that. I don't like the sluggishness of decision making, especially if there's a time-constraint, and I hate katakana English (not the loan words but the method of teaching). ( View formatted comment » )
