Tis "Bunka no Hi" today in Japan otherwise known as Culture Day.

Wikipedia says:-
"This national holiday was established in 1948. It commemorates the
November 3, 1946 announcement of the Constitution. It is recognized as
a day to celebrate peace and freedom and promote culture."
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_holidays_in_Japan

Today we are working as usual though as we need to get a lot out the
door. I find that working on a holiday or the weekends is the only way
to "stop" time - get things done while others take time out. So I
guess its like stopping time for others ^^;
If you could really stop time, what would you be doing?

文化の日だ!通常業務だ!時間を止める事は不可能なのだが、週末や祝日で仕事すると、他が休んでいる間に先に進める感じがします。他の人の時間を止め、先に走っていきます。ってちゃんと日本語で表現できたなのかな?^^;

    That is so true! I find that working on fridays and saturdays makes it seem like you're stopping time...

    Nowadays, I'd really wish for more sleep, but that's what everyone does here on friday and saturday during the day. ^^;

    right now, i could use the stop time ability to regain sleep lost to the last 18 months since my daughter was born. then I will need it again in a few months to keep up on the sleep when our second daughter is born :)

    after getting rested, i'd make use of the time to work on my Japanese skills that I never seem to have time to work on. my daughter is getting ahead of me in that department.

    Holidays don't make any difference to me. In fact, i work in them. Fun thing though, i usually get to rest when everyone's working. Alas, I miss lunar new year and christmas/new year though.

    Time stop? No thanks, i get along fine with adrenaline, easier to do things a lot faster within a short period of time :P.

    If I could stop time, I would:

    1. Finish my first attempt at NaNoWriMo (i.e. complete all 50k words and hopefully finish the story at the same time)
    2. Sleep for a whole 24 hours
    3. Play Atlantica Online for another whole 24 hours (yay for 200% EXP this week~)
    4. Scrounge up enough money for a major purchase this weekend!

    To stop time I either wake up very early or do what I have to do on weekends.
    If I had to stop time, I would like to have a universal clock and stop the minute hand and the hour hand from turning.

    Can be very true, sometime I wish I could go in on the weekend instead of a regular weekday as I'd get tons more work done since I wouldn't suffer any interruptions to my work.

    Though several public holidays here we still have to work since they're not public holidays in some of the other countries we service.

    If I could stop time, well...
    I'd rest for a long long time. I want to rest so bad right now, but I can't I have to keep moving toward my definition of success. Because well I want to enjoy it while I am young.
    After I rested for a few years, or actually it might be months. I'd start studying and researching, practice drawing, etc.
    The way it is right now. I do have free time, but normally my free time is spent resting, trying to recuperate from college work, or my job, or my everyday life. So it's really not productive free time for me. Anyways I am trying to change my situation into something better, its just burning up time.

    Ask Sakuya from Gensokyo when you talk about the Touhou dimension. Or ask Dio Brando to make him go "ZA WARUDO".

    If I could stop time, I'd be sad because I can't interact with other people...I guess I'd revive my blog, play all the single player games that are awesome, keep up with the old and new anime and manga...And let time flow again when I travel to Japan!
