Suica Vending Machine payment
Waiting for the train, decided to warm up with a quick drink. The vending machines on the platform almost all accept the Suica swipe card for electronic money purchase. I remember how difficult it used to be when the train was approaching and you were still trying to fumble in your pockets for change. You would stick the money in just as the train door opened and then hurriedly press the button. The change always seemed to take ages to drop down and as the train doors started to close you had to make a run for it. Kakekomi jousha yamete kudasai 駆け込み乗車やめてください。 Anyway those days are over now as you just swipe your wallet across the Suica plate and press for your drink. No change to worry about and the drink pops out before the train doors have even opened. As winter aproaches many vending machines switch the balance of their drinks from cold to hot. Winter is just around the corner and I wonder what new hot drinks we will be treated to this year. What is your favorite winter drink from the vending machine?
