Recently I have had renewed interest in shooting video. Most of my energy of late has been put into becomming a better photographer with a digital still camera, but I have always wanted to be able to capture the things around me with video as well.
I am very grateful for the opportunity that I have to live in Tokyo, easily one of the most interesting cities in the world. But life is both short and unpredictable , and who knows how much longer I will be here.
I'd like to capture parts of my experiences. Partially to hold it for myself and partly to share with others who might appreciate my perspective. Taking from the example if Danny and Joseph, I took the plunge and picked up a new video camera.
Pictured is my new Sony HDR-CX520V camcorder. I added the wide angle conversion lense, shotgun mike and tripod handgrip because, well, in for a penny, in for a pound right?

I'll be carrying this around and trying to learn while I put this new fade through it's paces. Got to break it in last week by shooting Danny practicing his dance moves in Ebisu. I have to admit I love this camera so far.

So my question for you is how do you express your creativity? Do you blog or take photos? Post vids on YouTube or sculpt anime figures with a chainsaw?
