Beautiful weather today so we cycled to a new park and enjoyed a homemade bento!

Lots of other people here doing the same. Some smoking, next to other non-smoking families, which is a shame.

We're going to play frisbee later, which I haven't done in years!

Do you enjoy your local park when the weather is good?

The parks near me are ok, but I prefer to go to the city limits for real outdoor exploration.
That bento looks kickass by the way. Making me hungry!

I don't have a nice park around which is a shame since LA has some nice weather most of the time. It's one of the disadvantages of living in a big crowded city.

What a wonderful way to spend a sunny day. I just love bento meals where you can savour each and every different mouthful. I particularly love the omelette roll that only Japanese people can do to perfection; so smooth and lovely. I love to take my little girl to the local parks in the area with a bento of delicious snacks. Thanks for a great post Chris.

I used to go to a small park near our house when I was younger but now I RARELY (emphasis on the RARELY) go there.

... umm... you gonna finish that shrimp? XD

my local park just is not safe, one of the problems with living in the UK...
my nearest park has somebody get stabbed in it at least once a week, and theres muggings going on all the time, hence me never going in there haha

There are places that are called parks around here. But if 10 people gathered in one, you could call it full. Furthermore, these "parks" are not nice at all. Litter almost wherever you look.

the weather is awfully hot here all year round so I don't see any logical reason why people choose to go for picnics at city parks nowadays... we usually go for picnics far away from the city like the beach or the mountains.
