The other day I admitted my stationary addiction to the world. Today I have another confession to make - I'm an Apple Otaku too.
I'm here at the Apple Store Ginza - my Macbook pro is going in for major surgery (new logic board). Whilst of course I'm worried about my baby, I'm also trying not to wet myself with excitement due to all the Mac sexiness around me.
It started four years ago when I bought an iPod. It was so gorgeous that I was soon seduced into buying a Macbook; since then I've bought one of almost anything they've released. Tragic.
(I have to be careful when I visit Dannychoo.com though, because whever I see a picture of Danny's desk with all those sexy Mac's laid out I start to dribble, and can't look away)
I'm not the only one though. The iPhone has been the #1 selling mobile phone in Japan for several months. Now, it's basically impossible to get on a train in Tokyo and *not* see a load of iPods, and an iPhone or three.
Mac computers are doing well too, despite intense competition from local manufacturers like Sony. The Apple stores are always packed (like tonight), especially after things like the new iPod nano with video camera are launched (me wants!)
So how about you? Have you got any Apple goodies? Or do you think Apple otaku are a bit crazy?
Do you love your computer as if it was your baby - perhaps decorated it with stickers and given it a name even?
(I just hope my baby's operation is a success...)
