Electric assisted hybrid bicycles are quite popular in Japan. You still need to pedal, but motors give you an extra push so biking up hills is no more difficult than shooting along a level surface.
Sanyo has a line of electric bikes as part of thier Eco friendly eneloop line (I rely on Eneloop batteries to keep my iPhone running all day).
I think my normal bike is better for me (since I need the excersize) but the gadget lover in me thinks these are really cool.
What is your preferred method of transportation (bicycle, subway, Ferrari, Evangelion, broomstick)?
