Thinking of picking up a lotto ticket and grabbing part of the 200 million Yen prizes. That's about $2 million. There are plenty of these Takarakuji boxes at the stations where you can buy a ticket. Some people buy for themselves, others as gifts or for when visiting people in hospital. At Shibuya station there are 3 of these boxes all in the same spot. I wonder how people choose which to buy from? Inside the box is normally an old lady who sits there all day and hands out the tickets in exchange for your cash. In winter they have tiny portable heaters at their feet to keep themselves warm. It's strange that with ATMs, automated train ticket machines and convenience store ticket payment machines where you can pretty much buy anything, that a person is still required for lottery tickets. This must be a law requirement I guess? Is $2 million a small prize in your part of the world? A friend of mine went to Vegas and won $30,000 which is big enough for me. Have you bought a lottery ticket recently? How did you go? (you don't have to tell us if you won the jackpot ^^)
