This is Roti Prata. My all time favorite.
One thing I love about Singapore is the abundance of great foods from around the world. Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, French, even Japanese!
Roti Prata is my kryptonite (along with Shianghainese Women). I simply cannot refuse.
Originally Indian/Pakistani, the Singaporeans have perfected the dish. Similar to Nan, Prata are flaky pastries often with fillings like onion, cheese, or even banana, that you dip into a curry sauce before munching.
My regular order as pictured above is one egg and one plain with fish or mutton curry. Also have to get Teh Tarik (pulled tea) to wash it down. This is a lovely sweetened milk tea mixed by pouring it from one pitcher to another.
The grand meal you see only costs between 200 and 300 yen! While you can order Prata anytime (24 hours a day), I like it best for breakfast.
